Have to agree with many others. This lasted about 10 months and then suddenly it stopped working.
The programming is still intact but it no longer switches the light on or off. The price is good but it's not worth it.

Don't waste you'r time and money!
Installed two of these to control my Christmas lights and they worked well for a week. One of the timers died and could not be turned on/off manually. There is a slide switch to turn off the timer but the switch was stuck and non-operable.

I purchased two and within 3 months they were not working properly. I wish I has read these reviews before purchase.

Junk
These in-wall digital timers from GE are JUNK. I have two switches that I use these timers on and I have had to replace them 5 times between the 2 switches over the last 3 years. They do last longer than the 1 year warranty but not much.

Almost....
I put this timer in a couple of days ago. Installation was easy, instructions were easy to follow. As soon as I get it uninstalled its going back to the store. I bought this timer because its capable of being manually operated. Not so much anymore. That feature failed the third time I used it.

Oh no, not again
Bought 3 for the house. They work nicely---until they don't. 100% failure rate within 12-18 months. Not to mention that the microscopic display finally made me cave in and get reading glasses. The third switch just failed. Yipee, more work to do tonight.

Will not last
Great idea wanted to have my outside lights turn on at sunset and off at sunrise. Which this product is great at doing only problem I have been through 4 of them in two years. They keep failing and I keep buying them hoping that the last one was just a bad one. Now that the fourth one has went out i'm giving up. One would think GE would make a quality product. I will be trying the honeywell unit next as I don't want to give up the automatic lights but this product is not worth it.

Broke after about one year
Like many have said, a poor product that does not last very long. Switches should last decades... This one just stopped working after about a year or so. I would not buy it again, ever.

Does not work
This product was easy to install and program, but stopped working exactly two days after installation! Tried to reset several times, reprogrammed, removed completely and rewired, but nothing helped. This is money down the drain since I had alreday thrown my receipts and packaging as well.

Up and died
If you like products that are only good for a while, you will feel right at home with this GE Timer. I'm a confirmed disappointed purchaser of GE products. Not to mention the overall low quality of a majority of Home Depot products, which I hear more often from more folks.

Two of them failed within a month after 18 months
I had two of these fail the same way others described and required a new switch to even turn on the lights. I do not recommend to anyone unless you are okay buying new switches on a regular basis and handy with electricity.

I agree COMPLETELY! Sorry to plagerize but this one sums it up!
I hate writing bad reviews but this product deserves it. Normally I do a ton of research before buying, but happened to be in HD recently and remembered that the timers to my outside lights were acting up. So I picked two of these GE models up. They installed easily and programming was not difficult. But for the last three days now the lights failed to come on as timed. I even went so far as to do a hard reset, all to no avail. I can turn the lights on manually, but they go off within a minute or two. Total waste of my time and money. I'm going to remove them and return to HD who will now have to attempt to go through the return for refund process from their supplier thus wasting their time and money as well. Avoid this product, its horrible.

Bad Product
This timer died in less than six months. I had it on a two-bulb circuit. If a bulb burns out, the entire system goes down. If you buy this item, you will not be happy.

Poor quality
I have another GE timer that has worked great - even when it says "low batt" it still works. This one is a piece of junk. I have not even had it for 3 months and it resets itself to 12:00 and stops working. Unfortunately, I can't find the receipt so I am stuck paying for a new one. Save yourself the headache and buy a different timer.

I won't buy this brand again.
This GE model 15086 lasted less than two years. Oh well, it only had a one year warranty, even though most products last well past the warranty period. I'm looking to buy a different and hopefully better brand.

Lasts about 1 Year - just past the warranty period
I installed my third timer this weekend in as many years. The warranty is for 1 year - go figure.

Resets time
This product would be a good idea but mine will work for a a day then the time resets. So I have to go and set the time and program every time!

Failed after 3 months
This is the second one I've installed. Both only lasted about 3 months before the digital screen goes blank, reset doesn't work and the light clicks on/off about every two minutes until it stays on.

Good, if not cheap
The timers work as they are supposed to work. We have not yet had them long enough to know if the batteries will hold up.

Easy to install, but would not program.
As with another reviewer, the reset button did not work. In fact, no programming button worked, except the on/off. A bummer, after all the trouble of installing. That I did not pay someone else to do the work, OK, but I was out a lot of time, particularly trying to trouble shoot the programming problem. HD happily refunded my money (and that is really swell), but has no alternative in stock. Another home project on hold...sigh.

The timer worked only on a manual basis.
I wired the timers in according to the instructions. At the step where the display was to be energized, nothing happened.
The power could be toggled on and off manually by pressing the Timer Button.

Did not work out of the box
Bought this yesterday, swapped it out with the other switch and then nothing happens. I am taking it back today, and after seeing the other reviews it does not look like it would last more than a year anyway.

programmable digital wall timer
Works well to control outdoor porch/driveway lights. Can be used with standard incandescent bulbs, as well as CFL or LED lights. Price is a little steep, but hopefully having the lights on a timer instead of being on all the time will defray some of the cost.

Product works well
Nice small unit that requires a deep box. Simple install procedure.Turns lights on and off automatically on various days, at various times, or via a tap on the faceplate.

Good timer
This is a good timer that can be programmed to have different on/off settings for each day - or all days the same. One on/off cycle per day. Internal (not replaceable) NiMH battery preserves settings during power outages. Does not, however, automatically adjust for dusk to dawn (what I was really looking for but couldn't find) or daylight savings.

product looks great & has two face plates beige or white
Just installed unit. Not bad to program, could have been more open with the instructions. Would like to know if
override activated, will it still shutoff at time set?

Don't waste your time or money!
Product fails in less than a year so keep your receipt. Judging by the reviews on here looks like everyone else has the same problem. Hard to understand why GE puts it's name on such junk.
