This Product for Low Pitch Roof application worked great for me. I doubled it up on a very low pitch and laid shingles over to of it. The roof turned out beautiful and no leaks! The Butyl Rubber Adhesive is awesome. As the nail goes through it, it envelopes the hole and seals right up.

I use this product on many of my jobs

I don't know what has happened to this product. I have bought it many times before and this box full was practically falling off the paper backing when I pulled it out of the box. If you have ever used this stuff before, the worst nightmare is having it stick to itself, almost impossible to get apart....well, I guess that was the old recipe. This one would barely stick to itself and could be pulled apart easily. Now with the pandemic, you can give up on trying to contact customer service. Twice I was disconnected at exactly 47 mins before even reaching a representative. Very disappointed.

Excellent product, arrived quickly

I've used this product for many years, 35, and was disappointed to find it has been cheapened to the point I will not purchase again but search for a better product. There is less material to stick to a surface so even with welding down with a heat gun the next day it had released. The plastic surface has also been changed so that it wrinkles quicker and causes more problems in the application. Please make the excellent product that contractors loved for many years.

purchased for my roofing project on my house. replaced shingles and used this for my ice and water shield. was easy to install and have had no issues 3 years later after install

Works as advertised. Be careful on the temperature when you apply the GCP to your plywood. I have found that for good adherence you should do this at a temperature of at least 50 degrees F.

This product is an all around solution to any construction project. With versatile use , strong adhesion, tough material and ultimately it's impermanence to water and elements. After using various other materials through the years I decided to try the much acclaimed Grace watershield.

This product is not meant for someone who has not installed it before it is very very sticky on days above 70 to 100 degrees but you can do it you just have to use the whole roll and start by unwinding about 2 feet leaving paper on then unwrap paper around roll and nail the paper to roof so it doesnt wrap back around roll as you roll it out the paper will stay in back of roll as you roll it out. Someone who hasnt ised it before should cut pieces of about 6 to 8 feet and roll back up and use same method

There is better product out there. It was awkward to apply and got very stick very fast but then when it cooled we couldn’t get it to stick to the plywood in spots.

This shield does not adhere with a quality seal. Having used it in the past, I think Grace is selling an inferior manufactured product to Home Depot.

Had a little trouble starting each new rolling, very sticky. But I was Appling it in 101 degree weather. So far it has Stopped all my roof leaks. (My roof decking is 96 years old Tongue and grove 3/4 inch oak wood that are 12ft. long in spots.) Rapping the Chimney was challenging although it came out very well when I was finished. Back rolling the product made the application very easy. (Just follow instructions on box, it's just that easy!) If you have leaks in a roof, the GCP Ice and Water Shield Will stop the problem. Last roofer did Not seal the joints and splits in the roof it's self before applying just Tar Paper, then the shingles. (unable to post photos, not enough pixels?) Thanks, Leak Stopper ~
