Water shield is a great investment

After reading reviews, I bought this product about a year ago. I have since discovered I have a leak in my roof. When I was installing it, it was very sticky but I had about 1/2 a roll left over which has been stored in a temperature controlled basement. I went to use it for a different project and it has no stickiness to it. Im concerned that if this has lost its stick in a temperature controlled room, whats happened to it in the Texas heat and cold over the past year.....not happy.

The product is great, the problem the paper says it is perferated but it isn't. Witch makes it harder to remove/

Because of the winter ice damns on my roof edges I needed to remove the present paper and add the Ice and Water shield. While it is an amazing product, I had two issues. The first, it was obvious that the roll had been stored on its side on a pallet in a warm storage area. The "round" roll was almost square and trying to unroll the product became very difficult. Secondly, like other reviews I could never find the so-called RipCord.

definitely not worth 200$ stuck to paper backing, no ripcord was in roll

We use this on every roof! And around new window openings. Works great as waterproofing!

This was difficult to apply. Between the thick paper back and unwilling to "self adhere" I disliked using this product. Tried a torch to help with laying it down, this product quickly shrunk up and opened up with holes. All with minimal torch applied

Was exactly what I ordered and I got the shipment faster than it said I was going to get it.

It can be done, but I do not recommend a single person application.

Super hard to roll out and place correctly when the backing comes off in one piece . It claims to have this “rip cord “technology. Where it will split the backing. No such “ripcord “exists. Very sticky , but that makes it hard to place given you are fighting with the backing . Do yourself a favor and find some water /ice underlayment that that has backing that comes off in 2 pieces .

Best water shield on the market. Can be difficult to use. But the best at what it does

Took a while to figure out the correct method to apply product. Instructions not very clear.

No pull string in any of the first 4 rolls. Paper backing will not come off without tearing. Cannot be used in sun. Backing won't come off and it sticks to everything including you. will never buy again. Won't go down smoothly. Wasted a lot of product trying to put it down.

Well, I haven't used the boxes I just bought but I have used the boxes I bought a year ago and it works well and seems to do what it says it will. I will say that I install the material parallel to the slope and overlap the side joints. It is easier for me to install it that way. The roof is 9:12 and I precut the sheets and start at the ridge and let them unroll down the slope while pulling the release paper. I am covering the entire roof so it is my air barrier as well as a roofing underlayment
