Purchased this item for the new feature rip cord which is supposed to make the installation much easier. Unfortunately the manufacturer neglected to insert this cord in the particular roll I received.

Did not have a rip cord and backing would just rip instead of coming off in a sheet. Then could not get left over paper off product. I wish I had bought anything else.

Product arrived in a timely manner, as described and in good packaged condition. Product's performance quality will not be known until enough years have passed to prove its water shield durability.

Expensive and sometimes not available at all Home Depot stores however it is the BEST on the market.

Used for Low Slope 2/12 pitch ; More than enough to cover the roof and some extra for Window/Door Jambs. Pros outweigh the $50 extra over synthetic. Apply in Morning to be easy to work with, Let Sun heat for 2-3 hours hours to adhere well. Safe to walk on

EASIER and 100 positive it seals in cold weather!!

Had a complete tear-off job on back addition. Used vycor tape to seal the seams and rolled watershield afterwards. This stuff is very sticky but it is self-sealing. I believe the benefit outweighs the cost for this product.

The rip strip or whatever technology they taught about removing the backing, doesn't work.

This was a professional product. Installing it yourself with no experience was extremely difficult as it would stick to itself and never let go

I just applied Grace ice and water shield to a section of roof that has been damaged by ice damming. The product appears to be just what I need to seal the are and help prevent water damage. It sealed well. Beware it can be tricky to work. Once the backing paper is removed sticky surfaces have to be kept separate or it is near impossible to get them apart. That is more of a user issue than product issue. Once it is down it seals well to the roof decking.WV

Have used Grace Shield on a roof under a 2nd floor deck that leaked previously. No leakage with Grace! Using it now to seal a used 5th wheel weekend cabin roof. A little hard to work with but worth the effort.

I have used another brand in the past and it worked well. I have installed several roofs in my time, so I am not a newbie. First time using this product and I will never use it again. I would return it except that I had cut the rolls down to pieces to fit my shed / barn project in advance so that they would be ready to put to go today. Rip Cord doesn't work. Paper rips off at angles and has to be started again. Sticks to itself before you can get it smoothed down. There are edges which are sticky on the top side with stick to your hands, shirt, paper, itself etc. Perhaps if you have a crew of 4 or 5 people to put it down it would go better but definitely not when there are just two and you are working off ladders 10 or more feet off the ground. It may be good for commercial applicators but not for the do-it-yourselfer.
