Easy install! I removed the old seal and cleaned the track with a broom. Then I fed the new seal into the track, holding the loose end even with the door in the u-shape described in the directions. I pulled the seal down then had my 8 year old son keep pulling while I fed it in. We got the seal installed in about five minutes.

Tabs are too wide for my tracks
Installed as replacement on two 8' wide older insulated steel garage doors. The tabs that fit into the track were just a bit too wide. To get the bottom to slide into the track, I mounted a piece of 80-grit sandpaper onto a sanding block and sanded about 1/16" off the tabs. It's not hard to do if you also encounter this issue. Just place the strip onto a firm flat surface and sand both sides of the tabs, in approximate 1' sections, vigorously about 20 strokes or so.
The photo on the package shows the bottom being installed on the door with the bottom track in place on the door. I found that I had to remove the bottom track (8 screws holding it in on my door) to install the door bottom because the side rail was in the way. I cleaned the track up first and used silicone spray to ease the installation. Be careful not to stretch the bottom too much because it will retract a bit. If you can, install the bottom and leave it on the track until the next day to allow it to shrink to size before cutting it to the length of the track.

Will fit for about 2-3 feet, but becomes too difficult to pull-even with the dish soap. (I ended up tearing one end with pliers because it was so hard to pull!) It needs to be trimmed on the sides, but probably about 1/16" of an inch. Hard to do that to something that 16' long and you have to do it to both sides.

Does not fit in grooves.
It does fit, but too challenging to slide it across a 17’ door. It is off by some small measure (the grooves of the door vs’ the seal).
Used hot soapy water too. Item
shredded to pieces on pull side.
Returned.

Cheap Door Seal
Unbelievably cheap door seal. Easily ripped/tore right out of the package. As others have noted, T shape is too tight in the T slot so it binds easily. Didn't seal to my floor despite previous brand from HD working great

This is a flimsy bottom edge molding for the garage doors. Unfortunately, I could not install it as it would not fit into the track of my garage door. I have cut it into to pieces now, so can't return. I am hoping that when the weather is warmer, I can get it to slide into the track.

didn't slide on
This garage door replacement seal was the only one in stock in the store. We should have ordered a different one. The T barely fit in the two grooves and it took two people, pulling really hard to slide it a little at a time. We cleaned and used WD40 on the tracks and still, no. Eventually we got it about half way, but the edging started ripping and pulling out of the slot. Eventually we cut it in half to get past the tearing part. Finally we made it, but it was so frustrating and has a seam in the middle, so I will order something different for the other garage door. Maybe it just wasn't a good fit, but it seemed like it was when we started so it was out of it's package. It seems the edges were not firm enough. An online video made it look so easy! Be sure to get a good fit.

The material it's made of may be good and only time will determine that. However, the seal did not fit my channel and it was a nightmare to install. This product's packaging and online description doesn't even provide the width of the "lip" that fits into the channel and that's critical. My channel is only a 1/4" and this lip is 3/8" and it takes 2 people pulling with all their might to get it through.

This is a great product, although we had a tough time getting it fed through the channel, even with all the soapy water and WD-40 we used. Inch by inch... but we finally got it.

Helpful Installing Hint
It was difficult to install on an older door. So, I finally had to cut into 4 sections in order to install it.
