Huge money life saver when making freezer meals and buying meat in bulk.

I absolutely love my FoodSaver!!! I'd wanted one for a while, so my husband and mother-in-law got me one....now I use it all the time! Great way to cook in large portions, saving half in the freezer for use later! Also great for buying products in bulk or in large quantities on sale. Never waste your frozen items again! And I absolutely love that this model has the little roll-holder attached....makes it so much easier to store and cut as needed! Highly recommend

I wore out this same model that I had for about 5 years and used all the time. It is a great product and I would recommend it to anyone. It truly make food last longer.

It is difficult to get the bag into the sealing mechanism. Other sealers have a better design with a hand lever that flips up and down.

Easy to use. Keeps food fresh with no freezer burn.

We had a competitors sealer, that you had to hold it down to create the seal, with the automatic function of the unit we got it is so easy, put the end of the bag in the slot and sealing is done. I also like the delicate item feature.

Thank you for continuing to make great products that allow me to save money. I have not been without a FoodSaver for as long as I can remember. The same is true for all of my grown kids and grand kids. We all use our units constantly and faithfully. Also, thanks to your staff. Every time I need to speak to someone, they are always very informative, nice to me and help me with whatever I want help with.

For a newlywed couple, this FoodSaver model is perfect. Being able to by in bulk and freeze foods without any thing going to waste definitely helps the budget.

The most nonfunctional kitchen appliance I ever bought. First you have to try repeatedly for the machine to seal end of empty bag. When and if it decides to seal bag then you have to repeatedly try again to get it to seal other end of bag once it is filled. Often it will finally seal the bag but not remove the air from it. In this case you have to cut open and throw that bag away and start over. Where is the savings in that? I would have given it zero stars, but you had to give at least one.

We were impressed with the quality and also the amount of vacuum pressure. I am positive that we will save money with this purchase. My only comment on use or improvement, please make it more plain about the sealing process and how to insert and remove the bag. Thanks, Ken & Deb

I've been a FoodSaver user for many years---I'm on my 3rd or 4th machine now--- and LOVE the product! BUT when I remodeled the kitchen, somewhere in the process I lost the space where I had always kept my flat to the counter FoodSaver. I found leaving it in a cabinet made pulling it out more cumbersome than it was worth but was unhappy with the zipper type bags for storing in the freezer. Oh woe was me! BUT in checking the FoodSaver webpage I found a VERTICAL Foodsaver===hummmm. So I decided to try this out as I Did have room for this footprint. And EUREKA! I found the perfect solution for space, leaving the machine out full time, and getting all my storage needs satisfied! Oh Happy Day!!!! I like the new food saver but compared to my older one it is harder to get the bags sealed. When I put the bag it I keep having to take it in and out before it will start sealing. I have not used it a lot so I am hoping with time I can get use to how to hold the bag to get it to seal faster.

We havent sealed anything but a bagel so far, but just the possibilities are so vast. We tested the heat seal on an empty bag and its perfect and strong. Very excited to start really sealing some food.

I bought this for my son for Christmas. When he got it home and tried to seal something, he called and said that it did not work. I told him I would get in touch with your company but he wanted to do it himself. So, I don't know if I bought the wrong one, even though that is the one he sent me a picture of.

I was given a FoodSaver as a gift and loved it. It was a basic model and was heartbroken when it needed to be replaced. I was confident that my new would work as well. I was WRONG!!!! It worked okay for a while.Then it became extremely difficult to use. Won't seal bags to make custom bags. When trying to seal a bag after use, it doesn't seal. Trying to get it to operate at all is difficult. It's back to the basics for me.

This unit is junk. No ands ifs or buts about it. Didn't seal, didn't vacuum, over heated after 5 seals. Tossed in garbage.

I've been using FoodSavers since about Y2K - including this model. We have brought this particular model to deer camp in the UP, fishing off Baja - you name it - and it works properly every single time. Never once has any effort to seal failed in any regard whatever. The product does what it says it will do at the most reasonable cost in the market.

I have had a food saver for the last 15+ years. I wore out the first one. Customer service has been very helpful in solving any problems I have had in using the machine. Simple things that I didn't realize would cause a problem in sealing the bag. I didn't used to keep it on the counter, as they suggest, and so didn't use it as much as I should have. I am on my 2nd machine, and use it daily since storing it on the counter top. I live in Florida and with our humidity crispy things get stale in hours. I use it to reseal crackers, cereals, hard candies, pretzels, and any of those crunchy snacks. No need to use a food saver bag, just reseal the original bag. Open by cutting with scissors across the top of the bag. We are hunters, so have a freezer just for meat. I also buy in bulk. Before using the Food Saver we were using double freezer paper and zip lock freezer bags, but were still getting freezer burn on our meat by the 7th or 8th month. Now we can have fresh fish,or meat that has been in the freezer for over 2 years and it looks and tastes just as if we put it in the refrigerator yesterday. I used to freeze pan fish in 1/2 gal. milk jugs full of water and they would still get freezer burned. Not any more. They smell and taste as if you just cleaned them from the lake. We have smoked sausage made from some of the deer meat. I was freezing it in the double wrap freezer paper and then zip lock freezer bags. The freezer was smelling like a smoke house when I opened it. I don't like my vanilla ice cream to taste like hickory smoke. I re packaged it all in Food Saver bags and now have no more smokey smelling freezer and good vanilla ice cream. It also works great for storing scented candles. At the end of the holiday season I put all the scented candles in the Food Saver bags to retain the holiday scents till next year. It seems to make them smell better longer and the odors don't get into the closet. If you have a problem making your machine work properly, call customer service. They are Great !!

I haven't tried any of the other units but this unit does everything I need! It can be used with almost all accessories and so far has worked splendidly!

I absolutely love my Food Saver i think the only problem with it, is that it uses to much bag the margin of unused bag is a inch on each side in my opinion is a wasted bag.

I buy my food in bulk, once a week I spend the day using my machine. Cooking is my passion, I have a large family and although they don't live with us they are here all the time!!! We have many friends so we entertain ALOT! I read the manual and I have had no issues with this product it works exactly how it's suppose too. If I have a question I refer to manual or call for support ... I have found if something is wrong it's because I forgot to follow directions. I love it!! I recommend it all the time!!!!!

We love the simplicity-- built in bag roll storage, bag cutter, and sooo much easier to clean. The small footprint is a definite advantage. We o a lot of camping/rving and package all of our refrigerated/frozen food in food saver bags most meats are stored in marinade. We even package dry goods in food saver bags to save space and to preserve freshness of portions. The food saver is compact and easy to store in our space limited RV. We love it!

This model does not operate as easily as our previous one. I had a lot of trouble getting it to work at all. Some packages would not vaccumn seal at all. Would glafly trade it for the old model,but we wore it out.

Enjoy this the first time you take it out of the box and use it. That will be the last time it ever works properly. It gets 1 star and 1 bar in value and ease of use because you can't pick zero. We buy meat once a month, and I absolutely dread coming home and having to fight with this device straight from the bowels of Hades. It sucks the air out of bags when it feels like it, it randomly simply seals bags without attempting to vacuum the air out, and, overall, is an absolute pain to use. This is the second Foodsaver device we've owned. The previous one was just as bad, and this was supposed to be a replacement. NEVER AGAIN will I buy another one of these.

This is my 3rd Food Saver & by far this is the best one I've had. This one takes up less counter space, has better features & almost hands free!

This system worked great for the first 5-6 mos but now it doesn't suck all the air out. Every bag I pull from the freezer has air in it. Nothing has remained air free. I tried bags and rolls but nothing I use is air free. I can't recommend this product and it looks like others are having problems with it too.

I got this as a gift and after sealing three bags it never sealed another one.

I bought this after having two Seal-A-Meal's break down on me in less than a year. I love using it. I love the bag storage, the bag slicer, the looks. It is great quality and I will never have a different brand. The only problem I had, which I am sure was me, is that I had a hard time getting it to start on its own a few times. I was using a different brand bag that was left over from the other brand. Food Saver bags are so much better also.

Absolutely love my FoodSaver.. I don't know how I lived this long without one..
