I bought this a few weeks ago and I did not like it. I returned it for a refund.

I bought a cheaper model about 10 years ago and it never worked right. Is I bought a more expensive one hoping the other might have been a lemon. Nope. It doesn't work properly either. The vacuum MIGHT work one in 10 times. I'll never buy another Food Saver product. It was a waste of money.

We bought this at the end of March. Since then, we've vacuum sealed shrimp, scallops, steaks and some veggies. Upon removing them, we found they were just as fresh and new as when we bought them. Great product.

I bought this model because it had most of the features I felt I needed. I couldn't be much happier. The extra bells and whistles just weren't necessary. Maybe in the future, I'll get one with those. But this one has enough. Auto seals, cuts & seals bags, marinates, has 2 speeds. One for regular sealing and one for softer foods. Has a hose inside for sealing bags with an attachments

I bought mine years ago and never really used it much. I'm a single guy. I'nm still single but figured I'd start using it. Thing thing is great! I'm kicking myself for wasting so much food! Mine came with a hose that doesn't go to anything and I wasn't even sure if it belonged with the appliance till I came here. It's hard to insert into its hole and doesn't really look like it belongs there! I guess it does according to the vids I've seen here. My only other complaint is that it uses up too much of the bag and I feel like I'm wasting plastic. I wish the seal was set at a half inch instead of a full inch. Other than that, the machine works great and I've not really had any issues with it!

I have had my food saver for about 1 month. After you read the directions it is easy to use. There is a learning curve to make sure you cut bag material long enough. I have so far frozen soups, stews, nuts and last night did my 1st loaf of home made bread. The expandable bag was easy to use. My only real complaint is the noise it makes while doing the vacuum sealing is too loud for a noise sensitive dog. We so far have only used 1 item we had frozen, we washed the bag and plan to re use it.

I have been very happy with my new food saver vacuum! I have used it with the different size rolls and pre-cut bags with relative ease once I figured out the process. I also bought the attachment which attaches to the hose for use on reusable Ziploc bags. Would definitely recommend!

I have had several foodsavers, This one is a gift for my son in law for his birthday. When you buy in bulk , it is a must. If you go RVing it's the best way to take meals with you . I love my foodsaver.

Researched the products and models before purchase. I love this machine as it goes well with my dehydrator. Machine intuitive to use, It has taken me some time to get use to how big to make the bag. I have overstuffed some in a zeal to seal.

We replaced our old, similar model with this one. Love the stainless exterior look and works great. Very easy to use.

too much waste with this sealer. It is nice that it is automatic to use but way to much waste. Also when trying to seal a bag get a lot of errors up too 5 or more times so a lot of wasted time. Have to shut off and back on a lot to get it to work to seal a bag. It does not take up a lot of counter space to store but with the disadvantages of the errors and bag waste better sealers but food saver to use. I finally got a new unit and gave this as a gift to Sister and law. they are happy with it since they do not use it as often as I did.

I have had other brands of food savers and they never seemed to work properly. I would still comtinue to lose money by losing food. I havent had this one long, but so far has been amazing. Simple to use.

I bought as gift and have not had any bad feed back as of yet so I'm guessing it works as it's intended. It looked okay when received but did not take out of box to inspect.

This vacuum sealer works great. It is very easy to use and I like the way it cuts, vacuums, and seals all at once. The price was great too, especially with the free shipping.

This updated machine is easier to use, and it's got everything self-contained. The adapter hose is conveniently placed on the machine.

you should be able to seal the bag without pushing all the why in and not waste one inch of bag every time /the vacuum shuts off before it starts to seal/its also hard to get the bag though the slot to get it to seal I have a old one that was great and I gave to my son I should of just bought another manual one

Given as a gift to a family member. He is very happy with this model and likes the features. Not the first time I have given one as a gift and have used one myself for years. Great product and saves money on food bills as well. Would recommend it to anyone.

I recently bought a foodsaver for myself, and it's the best investment! I'll be having Holiday goodness throughout the year. It's so easy to use, not too big to store it away, and the price was great! I bought one for my sister who thinks it's fantastic! No more wasting food, and buying in bulk for just two people makes it amazingly worth it. Everyone should have one of these fabulous machines!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As a hunter, and bagging and wrapping in freezer paper for years, I love this product as we can now just bag and seal meat so much quicker and it stays fresh so much longer! I also cook a lot and this allows me to shop for a months time and keep all veggies and other things fresh for use whenever I want to use it. Well worth the money and time for someone who likes to cook and hunt.

I love being able to repackage large packs of meat for two of us. We get the better prices in the larger packages, but with the vaccum sealer we can keep the freshness by removing the air from the food bag.

I am enjoying my 3400 series ...I have found u dont need to use as much of the bag they recommend... food is juicy and as fresh aswhen I first cooked it.definitely worth every penny. Looking forward to using the marinade feature.

You can't go erong with the purchase of this dealer. I have 4 hunters in the house and packaged 8 deer so far, plus I buy in bulk, this sealer has already paid for itself

This vacuum sealer is a handsome addition to my small appliance collection.

I had one of the very old models for many years but the suctioning just would not work well any more, but I had PLENTY of good years with it, at least 10 years if not more. This newer model has the suction I need for storing large amounts of Muscadine grapes by the poundage and even if they are a bit wet after washing and drying it doesn't matter. The wet feature is really worth it to me for fresh made foods, not real soupy though, you'd have to put a freeze on that first before you could get totally the package vacuumed tight. I LOVE IT!!!! Got one for my mom for Xmas too even though she has everything in the world for the kitchen already, except for one of these. I think she will like this kitchen item and find a new place for it as she loves to buy in bulk to save!

I do not feel like preparing a meal every night after work. But on the nights (or days) when cooking is appealing, the Food Saver provides a way to preserve the left-overs (or plan-aheads, as I call them) so that I can eat well another day for minimum effort, The one secret is to pre-freeze wet foods likes stews, goulash, stir fries before you vacuum pack them. Use a tupper ware like tub or even a cottage cheese tub to freeze overnight, and vac-pack the next day. To reheat, I just drop the sealed meal in boiling water. Great for warming soups, or heating that goulash while the noodles cook. If you explore sous vide, you can now buy that family pack of steaks, vac-pack them individually, freeze them until needed, and cook them sous vide before searing. My only advise on this particular unit is to keep the bag taught / straight when you insert it into the sealer; wrinkles do not seal well.
