Even with adhesive padding, the lock was too loose to provide a secure hold on the door.

I have used another company's lock like this for over 40 years while traveling. Unfortunately, that company is no longer in business. I purchased the First Watch Security Chrome Travel Lock in Nov. 2019. It looks like and works like the original lock I've been using. However, it needs a slight modification before it can be used properly on metal file cabinet drawers. Where the teeth end on the shank, the shank is too wide to go into the slide and therefore won't snug up tightly on some drawers. Taking off just about 10/1000" on both edges on the toothless, hooked end between the last teeth and the hook allows the shank to go into the slide. This allows it to use its last teeth and makes a much tighter and more secure fit on thin materials like metal cabinets. I bought 2 locks. On the second lock, the pin holding the slide together fell out and the shell over the tumbler fell off. I returned it for credit at Home Depot with no problem. The replacement I ordered and the first lock are still working fine. If the manufacturer milled the shank as mentioned and made the pin more secure, I would be able to give this 5 stars.

Purchased this for my daughter’s dorm room closet so she is able to lock up valuables while away for a long weekend or a school break. The school didn’t install new locks on their old doors.

it is okay quality. it does the job but need to build stronger in hook, two metal plates, and at least 3 keys. i don't mind pay more for better quality

Well designed and well made product which does what it is represented to do.

It did not work with my application, the 'hook' was too small and narrow to catch on anything, so I was not able to utilized this at all.

Key didn’t open lock.

I was not impressed. I saw the lock pictured in an online ad locking a bifold door, which it is not very applicable for.

Solid built lock. Better than expected.

I ordered 4 for my vacation rental. I received 3 unopened packages with parts missing and keys that did not fit. I was able to use 1 and it works ok but is not stable on my cabinet. It is such a great idea but needs to have 2 brackets, one for the front and one for the back.

This lock adds extra security to door. It works great for that purpose! Every door is different yet for the doors I have used this on...it works well!

This lock was just what I needed. My husband has Alzheimer’s and I needed a lock at night so he couldn’t go outside at night. It doesn’t mess up my woodwork.

Finally got one that actually works. Seems lsike it will do the job.

I ordered 2 of these. One of these worked smoothly and the other one was so stiff and rigid that it was unusable.

It was easy to keep up with and worked fine. No complaints.

Good product, I think everyone should have at least one of this.

I opened two of the three that I bought and the keys don't work.

A good lock to deter robber from my closet... It will also be used for my staying at some hotels and motels

Did not lock/unlock well, as poor metal quality. Did not work on louvered closet doors.

Works.but I think it should go together more smoothly and key should work more smoothly. It's as though everything fits together but not exactly so you have to use a little force.

This would not fit in door slot knob was intefering could not find box to send back

Difficult for these old hands to install

This lock could use two of the plates to securely hold inside & outside in a firm position.
