I think the instructions could have been a little bit clearer, but not too bad.

This is precisely what you need to trim out pocket doors.

The jam kit does what it is intended for, however the instructions leave out important details on the size of nails to use for instance.

It's nice to have all the jamb pieces cut and primed but there is poor quality control. Of the 2 I got one had a banana shaped piece which made it hard to have a straight line.

Excellent quality product with clear instructions.

Overall the material was adequate. A couple of the long, narrow pieces were mildly curved but could be straightened while nailing. Surface was pretty smooth (just a little light sanding in a couple spots), primed and ready for paint. Finished product looks wonderful after caulk and paint.

Pieces fit as described

Everything worked well on this kit. Provides a nice finished look to our pocket doors.

Unit was or at least felt cheap; however it was easy to install.

When I began my pocket door installation, I had no idea that I would be using a kit like this. While shopping on the internet, I came across this product. I picked it up "just in case" it might come in handy. Wow, what a nice kit!! When the kit arrives, the boards are white. The edges of the wood are smooth and lightly rounded. They provide a much better finished look than a piece of 1 x pine would give you. All you need to do.....cut the wood to length and install it with some proper trim nails. I would definitely recommend this kit if you are looking for a professional look.

The Everbilt pocket door jamb kit is an easy solution to trim out a pocket door frame. Installs in minutes, just trim to fit and fasten to the rough opening. You'll need some tools (A hammer, square, level, and a tape measure,) and supplies (Wood glue, shim, finish nails, nail hole filler, some wood glue.) You also need to get some finish door casing for both sides of the door jamb to finish the installation. Paint to complete. You will want to use a pre-finished pocket door jamb kit like this kit if you don't have access to a table saw.

I wasn't pleased with this product. It is made of cheap material and I could have made the same thing out of a higher quality piece of 1"X6"X10' Pine board and for less.
