A: Yes, it is cut to fit. It is designed for an 80" door and up to 36" width, but you can cut the width or height down. I'm using it for a 24" width door.
Yes, I'm also using the Rocket Pocket Door Frame, which can also be cut to fit.

A: The strike jam is wide enough to cover the 3.5" 2x4 and both sides of sheet rock so i assume its approximately 4.5-5".
As for the the slider pieces, i think they are 1-1.5" just enough to cover the sheet rock and the thin wall joist in the door kit.
This kit was so easy to install. There is a guy i watched installing it on youtube before i did mine.
