Excellent jamb kit for pocket door completion

Easy to assemble and loved it was primed

It was exactly what I needed. Worked perfectly!

Worked like a champ. Fit perfectly and looks great.

The strips that go on both sides of the door were too narrow. It left a big gap between the door and strip.

The issue with this product is that it seems to have some kind of wax on it and must be sanded and cleaned before painting. I painted mine with home depot paint, and it did not adhere. This paint worked well with all other trim and jamb items. The Johnson jambs are better.

Exactly what we needed. Clear directions and no problem with installation.

Fit perfectly, and finished nicely.

This was our first pocket door project and it turned out as expected. We had to frame the space which took a while but once the space was properly framed the kit was easy to install. We did watch several how to videos which helped familiarize us with the install. Of course you have to purchase the door slab. It was not required but we chose to use a solid door stab to avoid future issues with warping of the slab. We installed the door prior to hanging drywall which enabled us to test it and made adjustments which I would recommend. Check the length of your dry was screws that they are not too long. Make sure the framing is plumb and square. Enjoy.

Exactly what you need for a basic jamb and casing set.

Pretty nice, saved some time vs building and painting from scratch. With the cost of lumber what it wasn't much cost difference. The split jamb pieces could be a little thicker. The pocket door hardware I installed was from National Hardware and the guides need to be under the split jamb, but still stick out a little (1/16") using this kit. Overall its a minor complaint and better guides may fix that.

So got this home painted it, trimmed to fit and it was done. Worked great.

If everything about your pocket door install is normal this jamb system would be fine or if you don't care that your reveal is perfect then having the pre cut pre primed jamb system is fine. My install needed scribing to get a perfect reveal so the split jambs had to be scrapped and a regular jamb side ripped down and scribed to get a good install.

Pocket door kit worked great. Pretty straight forward for a DIY'er. My only issue was the first one I purchased at Home Depot did not have any hardware. Had to pack it up and take it back. Second one had the hardware but the wrench was missing. I still give it a 5* rating because I believe this was due to Home Depot's quality control, not the product itself. When I went back about the missing wrench, the door I returned was on the shelf (I know because I used black zip ties to put it back together) and I mentioned it to the store employee as he was taking a wrench out of another one on the shelf and he just shrugged his shoulders.

product should be sold in stores close to the pocket door bay. delivery time way to long for such a common product. the product worked fine and am happy with it, but unless you have the weeks to wait, I'd go elsewhere

I was very disappointed in the quality of the trim pieces. All the pieces were warped and/or bowed to some degree except for the two split trim pieces for the top of the jamb, door opening. It took a lot of extra work including sanding and forcing the pieces into plumb to fit. I would recommend a different brand or making your own pieces. If this would be the only Kit you could find just beware, it takes extra time and work to get to look good.

Finished off the pocket door very well. Should have come with the pocket door kit though, since it was so difficult to find.

Make sure to verify each piece is straight. The 2 vertical strips were warped so badly they could not be used. Could be a great product if not for this issue.

the jam piece on the latch side is great but the two header and the two pocket side pieces could be thicker, that would give more wood to fasten the casing to.

I would buy it again. Everything was straight and good quality. Just cut length to fit —-
