This works great on a plug next to the bed to charge mine and my wife's phones; however, I hate the little green LED light that flickers all night when something is plugged in to the USB port(s). Otherwise, I would rank it 5 starts.

inwas excited to place the order and thought it was a good deal; however, not enough amps to the USB charger which explains why it appeared to be "a deal"; it wasn't.

While the idea is a novel one, it is unfortunate that these do not support a more robust USB amperage rating. Sure, the plug is fine, but they only supply the 5V USB ports at 1 ampere. That's great if you're leaving your device plugged in all night, but not as fantastic if you need a quick charge.

Had the outlets installed by an electrician, and they dont exactly charge devices fast. First few days we are finding charge time for a newer iPhone at > 4 hours!

Great solution for 110 volt power as well as charging USB powered electronics all at the same location. I bought three of them for different locations throughout my home and office. One thing to note - this does not come with a cover plate. If you're going from a typical two opening 110 plug outlet, the cover plate from that will not work with this USB combo outlet. You will need to buy a single rectangle opening cover plate.

Great looking and very convenient for USB chargers.

Although I got this at a good price I returned it after learning that the usb was only 0.7a. Purchased the Leviton T5632 instead and although it was more than double the price I got an additional outlet plus a fast charge usb (3.6a).

Very easy to install in the kitchen. Just trip the GFI outlet to shut off all the others. Test it first. No more trying to find transformers.

Pros: -Looks nice. -Good price. -LED light goes on/off when something is on the other end of charging cable. I hope this means it doesn't "leak" energy like AC/DC adapters do. Cons: -Did not come with a wall plate. I expected it to, based on the unique shape. So I will have to find and buy wall plates... adding a little to the price. -Only has 1 positive, and 1 neutral connector. So, unless your outlet is at the end of the circuit, you will have to pigtail the wires, or give up on the rest of the outlets on that circuit. Other thoughts: -I convinced myself I didn't need more amperage to charge my phones overnight, so I'm okay with it not having fast charging. This may be a negative to some users, though. -Overall, I wish I would have bought a more expensive, but better outlet

Only 700mA output on the USB? Really! And the more it gets used the more convinced I become that that is SHARED between the two USBs - so only 350mA. VERY SLOW CHARGING!!

Better than the discription, nice and slick material

These USB sockets are great! Rather than have a bunch of USB chargers hanging off the wall, now I just have my devices plugged right into the socket. It's a nice thing for guests too. Who doesn't want an easy way to recharge their devices when they stop by for a quick visit? I had a bit of difficulty installing them into the wall of my old house, as the holes were a bit small. You should have no problem at all with a modern house, and with a bit of force, I was able to shove them in there. The one concern that I have with these sockets is what will happen to them in the event of a power surge, or lightning strike. I would be surprised if they survived, but so far they have been working great. In any case, the would do as well as any other USB charger, and the sockets are not too expensive.

The only issue is that the store only carries a similar product, from the same mfr. at double the price, so it was worth it to order on line and pick up at the store a few days later

Easy to install. No more hunting for lost power cubes. You can charge your iPad and phone at the same time. The best part of this is it is a quality Cooper product.

Installation was simple, and looked great once installed. Unfortunately, the whole point of such an outlet is as a charging device. For this task, it fails miserably, with charging times longer than 4x that of a standard USB charger. Advice, get a different one. I tested charging the same phone three different times, starting at a 5% power remaining on my phone. First, with my fast-charger. Next with a standard USB charger, then with the USB ports in this device: Fast Charger: 38min. Standard Charger: 76min. This Device: >6hours.

I was a little unsure if this was going to charge our iPhone's since they seem to be picky. I have had no issue with Samsung, Bluetooth headsets or the iPhones. I will be installing a few more to eliminate all the charging bricks.

Just installed one of these in the wall above the dresser. Got tired of the conventional chargers hogging up all the space. This is a snap. Took longer to turn the power off and back on than installing this. Direct wire swap and it was done; 5 minutes tops. Now, have 2 USB ports with a green indicator for charging and the single plug. I plan on installing 3 more in various places, especially the kitchen. The next 3 will be double plug and USB combination. Excellent buy. Good looking design, too. Highly recommend this equipment.

Fantastic design. Obsolete technology. Imagine my surprise to open a new technologically advanced product to find it is limited to outdated standards! Nowhere in the product description did it say this was a 0.7 amp USB output. Have they never heard of iPad? Lots of products with high capacity Li-Ion batteries require a 2.0 amp charger. I bought 6 and they will all be returned. VERY disappointed.

Hello, this outlet works great and is good quality. It is only 1 Amp so it will only charge phones, not most bigger tablets.

The USB port are only 700mA or .7Amps. An iPhone charger is 1000mA or 1 Amp. An iPad charger is 2100mA or 2.1 Amps. You can only use 1 USB port at a time to charge a phone that is powered down. If you try to use the phone while charging or try to charge an iPad you will burn out the USB ports in time.

It doesn't have enough power to charge Iphones. No response from Cooper customer support for help.

I have been through THREE of these in just over a year. They are made well, fit well, but longevity is lacking. The AC plug is great, no issues. The USB fails to charge after 6 months. Both of them. When it's working it's great. It just randomly stops one day. I don't do anything major to it, I use it to charge my GoPro, Droid and GPS watch. I use a 6 ft cord with it. When it works, it's just as advertised, when it stops it's useless.
