Very slow charge for usb devices

I really like this charger. Its been working great since the day we installed it. The installation was easy (no harder than installing a regular outlet). So far we have had no issues. My teenagers plug into it every night and so far it seems robust. (I have warned them ahead of time to be gentle when plugging in.) I like the little indicator light. Its helpful.

The Aspire system of switches and outlets is fantastic. The combo receptacle and double USB port is going to be very useful.

Great concept! Wonderful way to charge in a convenient area with plug and USB.

It was easy to assemble and gives the flexibility to charge two devices at once.

these outlets are about the same depth as existing outlets and use the same screw attachment. another product (silver/grey) required wire nuts and were significantly deeper. the one aspect I did not like was how the b, w, gnd screws were located. on the "old, std outlets", the gnd is typically on the bottom while the b and w screws were on opposite sides. this outlet had the gnd screw on the right side and both b and w screws on the left side. this made it a little trickier wiring the gnd. if they would have out the gnd screws on the bottom and left the b and w on the left (same) side it would have been a better design. Especially when you have 2 or more of these outlets in the same electrical box. if you are only replacing a single outlet, no issue....

I'm very happy with these. They seem to charge slowly but are great for overnight charging. Very convenient not to need an adapter.

The 15Amp USB charging outlet fits perfect and works great.

Good product but more amp current of different selections would have been nicer. Having a 0.5 amp and 1.0 amp usb selection since some devices like ipads and even certain cell phones require the higher amperage than the lower one. it takes these devices to charge fully longer than using their own usb plugs.

Shame they do not sell in store! But a little extra work to get it doesn't hurt! What I needed! It works!

After less than hour of use, the USB outlets failed. I had to uninstall and return the outlet. Full refund, but I'm not a happy customer.

These are OK but if you try to charge an Ipad and a phone it will only charge the second one plugged in.

The USB chargers recharge devices relatively quickly; however, wiring the electrical outlet can become a bit complicated if you are not installing it at the end of a circuit. To illustrate, a typical installation would entail the replacement of a standard 2-outlet receptacle that includes two sets of hot and neutral contacts (black and white). The unit under review does not include the second set of pass-through contacts from which the circuit can continue to the next receptacle on the circuit. Lacking these contacts, it is necessary to splice in power to the outlet on the review unit using wire nuts and short hot and neutral wires from the spliced lines. Some other USB charger outlets incorporate two electrical outlets that may entail a less complicated installation.

wont work well in a metal box because of the width had to switch to a plastic because it would touch edge of box and short out

This is a very slow charger, I ended up using my iPhone charger just because it takes forever to charge an iPhone, it takes a lot longer for an iPad. around 12 hrs.

Very Convenient to have a smart device/usb charger in my bathroom.

Installation and operation went fine. The green LED only lights when current is flowing, so if charging a device such as a Galaxy S7 that cuts off its charger when the battery reaches 100%, you will see the light go out, which is a useful quick check. The only other point worth mentioning is that the extra internal circuitry required for the USB outlets results in a fairly porky housing. In a standard-depth wallbox, you'll need room to stuff your wiring connections to either side of the outlet, as you will not have room behind it. Also note that the outlet does not have terminal screws; it has stranded wire leads out the back that will require wire nuts to connect to household wiring. Again, be sure that you have room in the wallbox for those connections, in addition to the volume taken up by the outlet itself.
