A: You made me go look! Our green light comes on when it's charging one of the devices. It goes off when it is fully charged. Ours also "flickers" when it is approaching a full-charge, before turning off. We put these in a lot of projects and I have not replaced more than one (1: 250.) Pretty good quality. Hope this helps.

A: Green light comes on when it's charging an item. My flickers every once and awhile but doesn't effect the charging. I don't know if that's normal but it could be as most items charging, regulate the income power to some degree for protection.

A: Thank you for your question. You should not receive a blinking light when using this product. There should be a solid light when the USB port is charging a device.

A: I dont get that issue

A: On mine, no light is nothing plugged into the USB port. Green-solid is charging. Green-flashing is fully charged. Green-irregular flashing is a bad charging cable. Also, one thing I noticed is that you can't charge two phones/devices simultaneously. It will charge one, then the other. I think this is because it has a smaller transformer designed to fit inside of the outlet. I don't charge two devices very often so it's not annoying. I hope this helps.

A: Keep it simple and just use another outlet for the 110v
by|May 5, 2023
A: No, it only has one set of posts for wiring, and one step-down transformer to drive the USB outlets, which are wired onto a small circuit board. It does not have the standard little tab to separate the top and bottom 115V outlets from each other. I had the same situation where I needed to isolate them, so I just expanded the electrical box to accommodate two complete outlets and wired them independently. Hope this helps.

A: I would not recommend it as then you might get that power from different phases.

A: Hello Mikhail,
Thank you for your question. Below is an excerpt from the instructions that address the wire gauge. These instructions are included in the package and consult an electrician if needed.
TO INSTALL:
1. Suitable for installation in outlet box measuring a minimum 3” x 2” x 2-1/2” deep and wired in accordance with NEC article 314 box fill
requirements.
2. Verify Power is OFF before installation
3. Strip wires to the length of strip gauge on the back of the receptacle.
4. This device must be properly grounded for shock protection. Per NEC 250.146(B), an automatic grounding clip will establish grounding contact between receptacle and grounded metallic box without a jumper. For non-metallic boxes connect green or bare grounding wire to green colored terminal screw.
5. Connect hot line (black) wire to black colored screw and neutral wire (white) to silver colored screw. Wires can be connected using one of the following methods:
To Use Wire Clamps: Insert stripped wire between the wire clamp and terminal and tighten the screw to 14 inch – lbs. Wire clamps accept up to #12 AWG copper wire.
To Use Terminal Screws: Wrap stripped wires ¾ turn clockwise under heads of screws and tighten the screws to 14 inch – lbs. Terminal screws accept up to #12 AWG copper wire.
6. Attach wallplate and then restore power.

A: No, but seriously, at least ground it to the box. It's better for you, it's better for the little transformer that drives the USB outlets.
by|May 5, 2023
A: All outlet must be grounded to be legal.
by|May 5, 2023
A: Yes, the outlet requires a ground.

A: 5 V, 0.7 A, DC
by|Sep 26, 2019
A: The attached spec sheet says it puts out 5V/DC at 2.1A. So, 2.1 amps. Many of the new 2016/2017 phones want a 3 amp charger for the 'fast charging' capability.
