Stair treads- well designed and well built product. I used these to replace the carpet on my stairs. The layers are bonded very well. I have had made complicated cuts, angles and curves without any worries of the wood separating. All the pieces I have selected were straight and true.
No issues with this product and I would definitely recommend to anyone who Is thinking of using them. Reasonable cost also.

These steps are of very sturdy construction. The thing that most appeals to me about the steps is that the veneer gives the appearance of one piece of oak. Steps from competitors are pieces that are glued together but also have the appearance of pieces glued together - which is not something I care for. The Evermark treads look like one piece of oak with a bullnose front. More appealing in my opinion.

Hi Furion65, thank you for your detailed endorsement. To build on your comments, the veneer of which you speak is re-sawn red oak that is 1/8 in. thick, all coming from the same piece of wood. So you'll get similar grains, consistent color matching, and a much-more even appearance once they're finished. Thanks for taking the time to leave a review.

I had no issues with the pine treads. They stained well and we even put on four coats of Varethane Floor Finish.

I actually used these stair treads for shelves in my kitchen. They are sturdy, and nicely made with beautiful oak grain. They took up stain very well and the quality made product did not disappoint when I cut them to fit my project. Well made.
I will go back to purchase one to replace a stair tread that is wearing.

Solid, straight, broad, clean, knot-free pieces of red oak glued to precision. All treads were super smooth with none of them cupped or warped. I installed mine without stain. A little sanding with 320, sanding sealer, light sanding again with 320, then satin polyurethane. They look great.

Hi Cjannise, thanks for letting us know. We updated the image to reflect the engineered tread. The top layer is a "re-sawn" layer of solid red oak, applied on both top and bottom of the tread, with a hardwood core in between. This produces a superior tread that is computer color-matched. Unlike thin veneers, this re-sawn layer is 1/8 in. thick, that can be sanded and finished to match other red oak decor. We hope these treads work well for you, providing a lifetime of enjoyment and added value to your home!

Good product, beware of warped treads. This is the second set of stairs I've installed for customers. Stained well, look great installed. Would have given 5 stars except for warping issue. Just be sure to check each tread when you buy them.

Thank you for the advice, SCHandyman47. Solid edge-glued treads, just like hardwood flooring, must be properly acclimated to interior climates before installation. That will assist in minimizing any warping one may encounter with these treads. Checking for any warping, checking, or cupping before purchasing is always advised, no matter the wood product being purchased.

Overall very nice product. These are oak strips glued together and are very nice. They do not have a laminate walking surface with cheaper material under. I made the landing out these also and they were great, solid product! You may need to do some finishing sanding to clean them up but all and all nice product.

Great product, few instructions
I installed these a few years back and have been happy with them ever since. However the installation can be tricky if you're not used to doing stairs, I highly recommend watching a YouTube video of someone doing this installation. There's one called something like "Installing Oak Stair Treads from Home Depot". This is a great medium-difficulty project.

The problem with the product is that it is made up of laminated boards and the nose on each board is laminated to the rest of the width, you can see the obvious line at the front of each step where the lamination is….i returned the purchase because of this.
