Very nice and not plastic. We had some concerns over the shut off needing to be centered after reading some reviews but that has turned out to be a none issue. The handle does need to be centered but there is a slight "V" type guide in the valve which makes turning it off very natural.

Love the new faucet
This faucet is a definite improvement over the last one we had. I particularly like the magnet which returns the spray nozzle snuggly to the base, and the button that allows you to switch to spray and keep it at spray. Also looks very stylish.

Extremely disappointed
I bought this faucet in December and installed it in January. I have been in my home for 44 years and have had to replace faucets several times. Never have I been so disappointed in a faucet. It looks pretty enough, and it fit what I had wanted as far as style, but the flow is disgusting. While waiting for my sink to fill so I can wash dishes, I can vacuum the entire kitchen. Any motivation to decrease the flow in faucets, if that's really how Delta plans to answer my complaints, has likely been done by humans, who don't have the day-to-day responsibilities of cooking, washing, cleaning. Reduced flow does not save water. It wastes my time!!!!! I was also very disappointed in the previous reviews and wonder if they are done by people, who don't actually use this faucet.

We thank you for reviewing the Delta kitchen faucet. I am sorry to hear you're experiencing difficulty with your Delta faucet. The faucet model you have has been designed to dispense 1.8 gallons of water per minute (GPM) at 60 pounds per square inch (PSI), though if you are more familiar with using a model which dispenses 2.2 gallons per minute, you may notice a slight difference in the amount of water being dispensed.
If you would like to test your model to ensure that you are receiving 1.8 gallons of water per minute, you may fill a pitcher or bucket for one minute to be certain the model is dispensing the 1.8 gallons. You also want to make sure you have the required PSI in your home as well. The lower PSI the lower the GPM will be. I chose Delta as my plumber said it has a good performance history. Sadly, I accidentally chose this regular spray rather than the spray that is advertised as less messy. The spray force is much weaker than the one replaced and the weight too light to automatically reseat the spray nozzle.

The sprayer will not reset into the spout on it's own. The sprayer will need some assistance to push the sprayer to the spout. Once the sprayer is close enough, the firm hold of the magnet keeps the sprayer precisely into place and hold it there so it stays docked when not in use and doesn’t droop over time.

After one month of use the faucet is performing well....
After one month of use the faucet is performing well. With this style I do have some trouble getting warm water versus hot or cold. You have to play a little with the handle to find a suitable warm setting. I really like the spray attachment that moves around and back to "home" easily.

We already had this faucet and loved it so we were happy that it was still available. The only complaint is the hose is smaller so it is not as forceful as the old one. It works fine; my husband said it's more energy efficient.

Delta Leland faucet
Excellent faucet for kitchen. Very well built. All metal around. What else can I say, it's a DELTA. Highly recommended. This is the 978 model not the 9978. Many customers have made a mistake buying the 9978 instead. The 9978 it's for a bar sink, it has a shorter neck and narrower.
