Needed to drill a hole in the existing fixture to hold the unit. Works well. It's important to make sure to interior of the fixture has the space to accept the unit.

I've had several of these that have been working for 15 + years without a problem.

This photocell works exactly as it is supposed to; lights on at dusk and off at dawn, and was very easy for me to install. We already had a photocell that was "yellowed" because of sun damage. Therefore, the lights were staying on almost all day, especially on cloudy days. All I had to do was remove the previous sensor and install this in the hole on the existing stainless cover plate, reconnect wires, remount the cover plate, and it works great! I definitely will recommend it to all the neighbors whose lights are still staying on most of the day!

This was very easy to install, simple hole and connect. Was done in 10 minutes. Price was fair.

I exchanged this unit for a different one that had gone bad. It was easy to install as it had the same color coding as the old unit. There is also a wiring circuit printed on the back side. The unit is supposed to be rain proof which was important for mounting on an outside lamp poste.

Bought to replace photocell in an existing outdoor light fixture. Installed into the body of my existing wall mounted light fixture and works perfect.

I am hoping this device will outlast the previous type photo eyes that were installed by our electrician as 2 of them have failed in 7 months. This is the reason I purchased this brand and type hoping that it will have some seriously longer lifespan.

Our front lights stopped going out during the day as the photocell that was over 25 years old stopped working. Replaced old unit with this item and it works fine now. Easy install and was form, fit and function compatible with the old unit

I really don't know whether to rate this product low or not. My light wouldn't shut off during the daytime and it's over 20 years old. I thought it was probably the photo cell that was the issue but after that installation it still doesn't shut off.

I expect the cost to me of having an electrician find and replace the defective photocell after it had been installed will be greater than the total value of this order.

Great product. I maintain buildings and lighting at several properties, us this product regularly always satisfied.

The p/e switch was easy to install and connect in the junction box, exact replacement for an earlier switch that failed.

This photocell works better than the one that came with exterior light.

Works as advertised, especially appreciative of its ability to control LED and florescent lights.
