Simple replacement of failed unit. Works perfectly.

Just replaced the one I had worked for many years a very good product

This item fixed my problem with my light not turning off. Took a day or 2 to reset after a power outage. Product meets expectations. Thumbs up.

had to replace due to water ingress from high humidity area of installation. Supposed to be "raintight" but if humidity can get in and short it out then its not very "raintight" as far as I'm concerned. Buying a second one and am going to seal all possible openings with silicone. Hopefully this one will last longer than 7 months.

Reliable

Device occasionally works properly. Often the outside light it controls stays lit all day long.

The unit was well made just as the one was that it replaced after seven years in service outdoors. Compact and the wires are heavy guage suitable for using wire nuts for installation.

Installed in 5minutes in my post light to replace a 20 old defective unit. It's been working the past week just as advertised.

Wasn't my first choice. I had my eye on one for less than half the price (the 1,000 watt photocell for $4.87, or thereabouts), but I couldn't find it in the store, even though I'm pretty sure I checked online that it was a stock item. This photocell works well as a replacement for the old one, though I'm not sure why the old one failed, as it was only 8 years old. Maybe because it was de-energized for several months while I renovated. I think it should have lasted longer; I have others in use that are older.

I bought this at Home Depot in June of 2018. By October 2018 it stopped working. No information on the package about warranty so I called the customer assistance number on the back of the package and the person on the other end was no help at all. They couldn't even identify their product with any of the numbers on the package including the sku or model number. I eventually hung up with no resolution except to purchase something new. It won't be a defiant.

I am giving it 5 stars even though we bought the wrong size and had to find another one, but Home depot staff were so helpful and allowed us to return it, no problem. I am sure it would have done well for the right outdoor lamp.

Works fine after installation

I have 3 Defiant Light Sensors on 3 outdoor lamps. They work great for about a year or two, then stop functioning, leaving the lights on all day and night. I thought maybe I just had a bad sensor, but each Defiant sensor has eventually failed. And, each replacement sensor has failed too. I hope they improve the design. If not, I'll have to find another brand.

Purchased to replace the failed unit I had. Installed relatively quickly and is working as supposed to by turning off and on at dawn and dusk. Saving me money. Frankly, if I had known it was so cheap and easy to install I would have done a long time ago.
