Bought this knife to do detailed carpet cutting around moulding where the blade needs to be sharp every time. The snapoff provides immediate fresh blade as needed.

This is the best box cutter I have ever used....
This is the best box cutter I have ever used. I have gone through dozens of plastic ones over the years. Anyone who uses a box cutter should have one of these. It is the best $8 I have ever spent on a knife. This is my second purchase of this. I gave my old one to my boss because she was always borrowing it. Great tool

I personally Have all three sizes of the DeWalt Snap-off...
I personally Have all three sizes of the DeWalt Snap-off knives. This one was purchased for my wife. It will replace about 15 plastic versions of snap-off knives.

This is a handy blade for detail or decorating work I do not typically use it during carpentryIt is heavy duty but this style of knife is not conducive to hard applications like drywall or cement board( just my opinion) Overall a good knife to have in the kit

Overall does what it should and it comes with a blade removal tool (the thing that looks like a pocket clip). It has a little play where the blade extends out of the body so this is not for high precision cutting because of the wobble but for general cutting, it is great.
