I bought this in order to speed up a welding project. This saw is great. I was cutting 2" x 2" square steel tube to weld up a couple benches. The square steel tubing had a thickness of 3/16" and would have been a challenge to cut at 45 degrees. This saw did a great job.

This cuts way better and faster than I expected. I was cutting 2*4 1/4 inch square tubing like it was butter. Very impressed.

I had seen portable bandsaws in industrial construction sites as far back as 1994 - I never imagined a use for them in the home environment. I love this - I do metal working and welding ( fence repair, mods to utility trailer, etc - small stuff) Using this bandsaw it a huge step up in accuracy and controllability over simply using an angle grinder or a metal abrasive chopsaw! well worth the money spent. Quick note - I bought spare bands after reading that the DeWalt supplied blade di not really hold up - My experience is it has held up really well and I have been very pleased! like I said, I do small projects but for average homeowner use it really does well. final thoughts - the band track well the light is nice, the tool feels solid but not too heavy and runs very smooth/no vibration. Be sure to keep your band speed correct for the material you are cutting and band life should be good!

Just started using it to cut 2 in angle iron. Great labor saver and accurate easy cut control. Very smooth cutting.

Works fine, the built-in light is Handy. Unfortunately no modern portable bandsaws have the ability to feed material through like the old Porter Cable portabands.

This is the 2nd saw I've owned. First one got stolen. But I loved the DeWalt one so much there was no doubt I was after another DeWalt. I love Milwaukee tools as well, but DeWalt wins here.

Works great, made a handful of cuts through 1 1/4 pipe without issue. It cut smooth and clean. The motor didn't sound like it was bothered at all by it.

easy to use and performed like I expected

The Band Saw is heavy but it works well. The Blade broke on the second use, so that was somewhat disappointing. Before the broken blade it cut quickly.

No surprises. The saw worked great and did the job.
