Learn from my mistakes: Makes sure you wet your float/finger/knife/whatever and the tiles before using this. If you don't, it comes out like tacky frosting and just rolls up and falls off the tile. Wasted a bunch of the grout, and made made a huge mess. Also, made cleaning the tile much harder cause the grout smeared over the tile without going into the gaps easily. Anyway, once I figured that out, it went easier. 1 quart was slightly insufficient for about 12 sqft of 2" tile.

This product was used with TrafficMASTER Carrara Marble 12 in. x 24 in. Peel and Stick Vinyl Tile and it looks great! Modern color and I love that it won't fade/look gross like grout can after some time. We used a grout sealer after application so that the floor is all sealed. Make sure to take off the haze within the appropriate time and to not get too crazy when applying. It is hard to take off if you have extra and it dries too much! I used vinegar and water and scrubbed with a rough kitchen sponge to get any extra off (I left wayyy longer than 24 hours- whoops!).

Grout went on and looked fairly white but as it dried it turned to a almond color. It's supposed to be "Bright White" and bright white is what I expected and wanted for this project. Too late for me and unfortunately ruined a costly and time consuming project.

The color is as close to the label as it can be. I read a ton of reviews before buying and sealed the tile prior to grouting. I also did small sections and kept clean water and sponge close and wiped down immediately before letting the grout dry on the tile. I have a stone tile and like i said i wiped it with the sponge and a cloth as i went with zero problems of staining so far. Ill look again tomorrow but i think sealing the tile first really helped

This was my first use if the product. I am a DIYer and make purchase decisions at the shelf. The product is easy to use. The label does not indicate that it is a sand based compound. That may have altered my choice but in the end my backsplash looks very good.

Easy to spread and looked beautiful when dry

Don't even think of using this grout in a shower. I did - and I had to re-grout after 8 months. Extended exposure to moisture caused the grout to "ooze" out of the joint. Use Prism instead. The small amount of time saved with a premixed grout is nothing compared to the 10 hours I spent removing the old grout and re-grouting. This product should be fine in a backsplash or other location not exposed to moisture.

This worked great for my small project. So much easier to deal with and not so much left over to waste. (Used to tile the risers on my front entry.)

This grout mixture is easy to use!

I used this on a small marble backsplash. My Home Depot was sold out of the lighter shade of this grout, and because the color was darker than I wanted (it's a medium to darker gray and pretty much identical to the lid once dry) I mixed it with some water and a bit of Polyshades white unsanded powdered grout and it worked well. It possibly would have worked even better if the white grout was Custom Building premixed and not a powder. It was challenging to remove, however, that could have been due to the fact that the tile was marble and more porous. I like Polyshades/Custom Building brand better than Mapei because I believe the colors are more accurate. I did pre-seal the marble tile to prevent the color from absorbing into the tile. I'd definitely recommend creating a sample board before applying any grout to your entire project. I would use this grout again.

Grout was heavily sanded and was hard to apply. Was like installing moist sand. If you don't clean up immediately after doing an area of a couple SQUARE feet you might not get the residue off. Not like a grout haze but acrylic streaks. It got on my cultured marble shower surround on the edge in one place and now it won't come off. Finished product on the subway tile looks good but not the clean up and risk that the residue won't come off.

The color is so pretty, we used it with white subway tile! It’s very easy to clean with a damp sponge, paper towels, and a magic eraser if you accidentally let it dry! The only complaint is that it falls off the wall easily while you’re trying to spread it into the spaces but your finger is a great tools for getting it where it needs to go if you’re struggling with the grout float

Purchased to grout some backsplash tiles. I’ve never used this before and will never use it again. It seemed super dry and grainy, but since I’ve never used it I assumed it was okay (I purchased it about 5 minutes before I used it). Super difficult to work into 1/16 grout lines. I did not see that it was sanded until I realized once I was applying it (newer to tiling as this is my 3 project). Half of the product ended up on counter as it was too dry to really stick. When attempted to pick up product from new counters... it scratched them to shreds (nice parting gift). I’m hopeful it will look good once I am all done... also, I’m going to need a tile haze cleaner as it is too thick for normal cheese cloth. Overall, I will never use this again and strongly suggest Home Depot stop carrying as it ruins tiles.

This grout is easy to apply and provides a great grout line. Color is a perfect match to the color on the package. Clean up is easy.

First off, I have been doing tile jobs on and off for the last 20 years and I have to say that this is one of the worst products I have ever encountered. The guy at home Depot recommend this stuff to my mom when she was buying tile for a bathroom remodel. I figured I would give it a shot as I have never used it before. Generally, pre-mixed anything is almost always inferior to it's powered counterpart. This product is not exception to that rule. He sold her sanded grout for subway tile, I'm not a fan of sanded grout for smaller grout lines but I figured since this guy recommend it how bad could it be? The answer is very bad. Grit was thicker than the grout space most of the time. The dye (was supposed to be bright white) ended up in the water bucket. The consistency was almost impossible to work with, more ended up on the ground than on the wall. I will be attempting to clean the tile with acetone tomorrow as the haze is stuck on the tiles. I will be re-grouting the tile with a powder based grout tomorrow as I am that disgusted with this product. Don't even get me started on the pre-mixed thinset he sold my mom as well... That a story for another review.

Premixed grout went on easily and cleaned up easily! One gallon covered 8'x16' on our project. I have no complaints about this product.

Very easy to use and apply. Great product and love the color

This grout is the worst! Crumbly sandy very hard to work with. It dripped constantly while applying and all but ruined my floors. It was hard to clean up. To make matters worse It has a rough ivory colored appearance when dry not “bright white”. Don’t buy this junk. I brought 2 and I’m returning them both.

It's been 24 hours since finishing the regrouting work which was just one strip of grout leading to our front door. The actual color is way off from the color on the container. The color on the container closely matches the color of the old grout. The actual grout is much lighter in color (see picture). I'll now look for a grout paint to see if I can further repair what looks terrible. In addition, I agree with some of the other reviewers when it comes to cleaning up grout that made its way onto the tiles. Scrubbing doesn't come easy and maybe my pressure washer will do the trick once the work is completed.

I dont usually write bad reviews, but others need to be warned. I bought (2) quarts of #381 bright white for a small backsplash job. First container was great, went on easy and exactly how I wanted, bright white grout with white tile. That covered 2/3 of the job... Moving onto the 2nd quart, I finished the job, woke up the next morning only to notice that the 2nd container dried TAN and looked awful. Maybe partially my fault for not testing a small area, but I put faith in the product to be consistent. I ended up removing all that 1/3 of the grout job (home depot was great as they gave me free supplies needed to remove it and replace, thank you Home Depot). Moving forward I was testing small spots with the new containers. 4 trips to 2 different Home Depots, 4 new containers and NONE of them were bright white, TAN, GRAY, LIGHTER GRAY, TAN again. I went on the product website to complain and on their site I see in their FAQ's that they claim due to unpredictability of concrete, there is a good chance your colors will vary from container to container, and if you cant get to match, then buy their "grout renew" paint. Am I wrong in thinking it is ridiculous to have to paint brand new grout to get the color you want??? The FAQs also says to mix the product before use, and to use as little water for clean up as possible... which is the exact opposite of the directions on the container! I did try these suggestions, they helped a little, but still way off from white! So, if you choose to use this product, buy enough to get it done from one container... and test a small area first to see if your color is really what you want... or better yet, buy something else completely!

The product has good quality inexpensive

More clumped and fell to the floor that would go in the grout lines. Worst grout ever in 25 years of tiling. I would rather have a root canal with no novacane than use this grout ever again. Beware

The grout itself was fine to use. The only con is that it is not a true “Bright White” as labeled. We used with white subway tile and it instead looks light tan. Luckily, it ties in with our warm countertops so we will leave it up. However, if you’re looking for a true white grout, I wouldn’t recommend using this.

Easy to work with and the grey is a nice cool tone that matched perfectly with my marble.

This product was easy to mix, apply/spread & clean up was simple. The color goes very well with our tile (see picture). The instructions are easy to understand & the price vs quality is good. I definitely recommend this grout.

This product was very simple to use and allowed me to keep consistent color without the hassle of mixing. Others mentioned concern with cleaning - I did small areas at a time and cleaned as I went, I had no issues with grout sticking to tile or hazing. Keep clean water and plenty of paper towels on hand.
