Customer Reviews for Command Outdoor Light Clips, Clear, Damage Free Decorating, 16 Clips and 20 Command Strips

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The actual clear light clips for hanging Christmas tree lights outside are great and I've found different uses indoors for them. I hung one at the bottom of a wall to hold a power cord in place. I have another one attached to my TV holding a cord in place making my entertainment center less messy. With these projects however, I did NOT use the tape that was included. The tape included is white and I needed clear tape, which I was able to get at a home improvement store, since it does not need to be in extreme temperatures. I'm hesitant to hang the clips outside first because I have colored trim and the white tape will stand out and look funny. Second, because the package says not to put the tape on rough surfaces, like brick, cement board or rough sawn wood. If I don't put the tape on the trim, it would be on the rough clapboard and I'm not sure I want that. So I'm sticking with indoor uses for now!

Had my house painted by professionals, using high quality exterior latex paint, a month ago. Followed the application directions for these hooks to the letter to apply them to the painted wood exterior trim on my house, even left them overnight to set. Went to put the lights up, the hooks came down and took the paint down with it. Carefully took some of the remaining hooks down according to directions--about half pulled the paint off anyway. Another 1/4 of them came off cleanly, the remaining quarter the strip snapped off and had to use dental floss to get it off. The attached picture shows one that fell off and took the paint with it. This product is completely ill-suited for the application it is advertised for. I notice now they're on sale! (I cannot imagine why.) DO NOT BUY.

Do not use these on a two story house. I have areas that have fallen off twice at 20 feet in the air. I followed the instructions to the tee. 2 ft apart, cleaned with alcohol, waited over and hour and still falling off. I would recommend them for one story houses so you can replace them easily. They need to include more than two extra. Hopefully i can get my money back. Over 170 feet installed and 40-50 feet has fallen off so far. Should have listened to the other reviews.

Need some clip to install an LED strip light under our kitchen cabinets. These are perfect for the job and they stick well!

So.... I use these clips for my kids' cups. They fit PERFECTLY for cups. I just put a sticker on the flat side so everyone knows which cup is theirs. We have 6 people and I got tired of seeing 12+ cups out because nobody ever remembered which cup was theirs. These work exactly how I want them to.

Used this to adhere a large wreath to a glass window. Surprising how strong it is!

Love the ease installing the clips. Also surprised by how long they manage to keep the lights up through wind, rain, and lots of sun.

Clips appear sturdy, but the adhesive does not stick to surfaces well.

It's an easy and clean way to run wires/cables or cords than remove them if needed with no damage to walls

I was looking for clips to hang lights from metal on the edge of our roof. I noticed a lot of very poor reviews for these clips but couldn’t find any other affords options. I went ahead and gave them a try anyway. I followed all the instructions exactly. I’m happy to say the clips have held up wonderfully. Put them up in August of 2022 and the lights are still in place December 2023. We get very cold winters and hot summers in northern Manitoba and every clip has stayed in place. Very happy with my purchase.

Command is always a good product.

Used to hang outdoor Christmas lights along roofline. Held well even through freezing temperatures, worked as expected. Would use again.

They don't stick well on vinyl siding or painted surfaces.
