Works great did everything it's supposed to do and with some muscle a little more. Would recommend this product to anyone with a home of there own, or for landscaping business.

This tool is difficult to use. There is no place to put your foot to apply pressure to slice under grass, also the angle is not helpful.

Great specialty tool. Really does the job with a great angle to cut the sod and lift the piece of turf off the ground. Much better, faster and easier than a spade.

My favorite tool for landscaping. Great for lifting sod and making that sharp, clean edge between grass and flower beds. Lightweight and sturdy.

I love this tool! It was so easy to use, very durable so far . I needed to remove sod from an area of my lawn about 14 sq feet. so I can put mulch down. I was able to slide the tool beneath the roots of grass and weeds fairly easily compared to trying to use a standard shovel. I did a small area at a time 1-2 feet at a time and it went fairly quickly in the morning after a rain over last few days. I am a female, 59 years old and my mantra as I dug up the sod was ""I saved $2,000 doing this work myself" which is an estimate I got from a local landscaper. Plus I got a workout, improved my muscle tone, endurance and felt great after I was done. I highly recommend this tool.

Not easy to use. Needs a foot peg on it to aid in the removal of sod.

Does not do what I thought it was supposed to do. Angle of "working end" of tool makes me bend my back to almost 90 degree. Most uncomfortable. No, I am pleased with purchase. Waste of money and it was not cheap. Would like to return it as it is useless to me.

It slices thru the soil under the sod nicely. Has an edge that can cut thru sod and cut into nice easy manageable pieces for lifting. Ergonomic shaft with D style handle for easy lifting.

Quality is good. The sod lifter is well built, and made to last. The only issue I had was there was the bolt was missing that attaches the handle on to the sod lifter. The handle pulled out while I was using it the first time. Angle of lifter could be better. Worth the $$$

DON'T let the picture fool you. The skinny metal shaft and digger blade are quality, strong, and hefty. Excellent welding. Good example of what to expect for something American made.

It works pretty good

This sod lifter works great and the price is half or less than any other sod lifter out there. I used it to trim along the sidewalks and it did a great job. The angle is perfect for getting a nice level roll of sod. I did not rate this as a 5 star only because I am not sure the welds will last. No problem so far.

Great value! I have two since a couple years back. When using, your soil is "shaved" so that a clean, flat surface remains, no gouges, holes, left behind, as when attempting use a shovel or such. This sod lifter will follow ground contours, no unexpected results. Also I found this tool to "pop" up ice off sidewalk driveways whenever a build up exists. Not just that, it does a fantastic job of braking up any build up of packed melted/refroze snow/ice left from snowplows, at the end of the driveway!

The sod cutter was a hard too find item that a lot of places don't carry! Got it now and can pass it down to my grandchildren!

I have used the sod lifter already multiple times and it works great. Much better and faster than using a spade or such.

Solid, well-built tool that does the job it was designed for. Much easier to use if you cut the sod into 1-1.5 sq ft sections first. Still a heck of a lot of work, though. For a large area, you will be better off renting a powered sod cutter. Use this for small inaccessible areas or to finish off edges and corners.

I NEEDED A SOD CUTTER TO EXPAND MY PATIO. SEARCHED OTHER RETAIL/HARDWARE STORES TO NO AVAIL. THIS BEAUTY CAME AT A GREAT PRICE & WAS EXCELLENT AT CUTTING UNDER THE SOD & LIFTING UP THE PIECES. IT IS MADE TO LAST!!

It does the job, but we're digging out sod for a path... too much work for this tool.

Easy and effective tool to use in weeding gardens.

It's simple - well built, but not sharp enough. Needs to be sharpened for cutting sod.

If you plan to remove turf, you should buy one, and you will know removing the turf is not a tough job anymore.
