The sod came up better using a flat edge shovel than the sod lifter. Maybe if it had a longer handle it would be easier to use with better results. I was disappointed with the Bully Sod Lifter and I cannot recommend it.

Just what I needed

I purchased this to lift sod in an area large enough for a vegetable bed. It was very difficult to use and clumsy I gave up after about 20 minutes.

A lot easier to remove sod for any reason.

Product does exactly what I need for small areas of sod removal.

It does the job and held up! It’s easier to use where the grass is mostly dead, and roots aren’t as strong. I flipped the cutter and used it like a shovel to cut squares first, then sliced under with my weight behind it. I did 140 sq ft in about 2 hours. It takes effort, it’s no magic wand.

It’s a little too light. A little more weight would help. Steel handle would probably make it a lot better

It just arrived and I haven’t had a chance to use it, but it looks good and strong for a tough job.

It is a gift for our daughter and son in law and they wore their first one out and wanted another. It is an essential tool to creating their many beautiful flower beds and using the sod in other places

Angle on handle needs to be adjusted to a steeper angle allowing the user to be able to cut the sod horizontally with the ground surface without bending over as much with current angle setting. The cutting edge has to be sharpen on the side facing up towards the user.

The tool is not easy to use on my tough Eastern North Carolina grass
