THE INSTALLATION WAS VERY SIMPLE AS THIS WAS A NEW INSTALLATION. NO EXISTING HOLES/ ETC TO DEAL WITH. UNIT ALSO LOOKS GOOD AND IS VERY QUIET.

As Advertised
Suprisingly quiet. Easy install. So many other models were much more expensive. Very satisfied with this. It is a little smaller than some as far as the height which may leave some exposed (i.e. unpainted) wall if your previous one was 'taller'. We were planning on painting anyway so it didn't matter to us.

Easy to install
Fan is a little noisy, otherwise works fine. Should tell you it uses a 15A appliance light bulb, there are many versions of 15a bulbs.

Updated replacement unit
This was a replacement of an older version of the same range hood as we had before, so it fit exactly where we wanted it to go. Easy to install, works just fine. We are very satisfied.

This product looks good
The product looks good, but I wish I would have purchased the better rated one. It is very loud when the fan is running.

Great product
I live two states away from my Mom. Mom needed a new range hood. I went on-line, did some research and ordered this range hood from Home Depot. Had it sent to the house. Had it installed and she loves it. What more could you ask for.

incorrect factory wiring!
easy to install, but found that the light fixture was not wired correctly with one of the lamps wired directly to the hot wire rather than thru the switch. So, one lamp stayed on permanently and the other worked with the switch. Unfortunately I didn't find this out until I had finished the install and did the wiring. Way too much trouble to take out and return , so just fixed it myself by changing the wire connection. Obviously they don't test their products before they go out the factory door. Otherwise would have been happy with the fan.

Easy installation
This hood looks nice and is easy to install, but when I turn the vent on, it rattles alot. Have tried several times to get it to stop, but it still rattles a bit.

Very good buy!
We purchased this range hood right before Christmas. My husband installed it in a couple of hours, even wired it to our external fan motor. I never used to use my old range hood very often because of the noise, but this is quiet so I use it all the time. Great unit especially for the price.

buyer beware
Despite some good online reviews, this fan is a total disappointment. Had to replace the motor and fan blade within the first few weeks (covered under warranty but still a hassle). It's far from quiet - something we were expecting given the QT series and manufacturer's assurance. The replacement filters are very expensive - especially since you truly can't wait six months to replace them (if you, indeed, cook on your stovetop). And, the filters really don't capture the cooking odors. Wish we'd kept our old fan!

Poor Fan
I bought QT230SS which is the stainless model. When I checked it with a magnet it held the magnet. Every stainless appliance I own won't hold a magnet, This hood does. This means rusty looking range hood in no time..... Also the fan makes my cabinets vibrate, very noisy. Needless to say it is being returned.
