A:  Hi Augie, Thank you for your question on the QT230BC range hood. This hood is designed to be an under-the cabinet mount range hood. It would not come with a back splash. This accessory would need to be purchased separately. A 30" wide in stainless steel back splash would be a model SP3004.

A:  The filter is not included.

A:  It comes with a steel filter for outside venting. If you want inside venting filters you will have to order them separately from Home Depot. I bought this hood and ordered two of the filters. I was told they only have to be changed about once a year if you don't do a lot of frying/venting.

A:  The aluminum grease filter is included, but the charcoal non-ducted filter is not.

A:  If the dimensions are the same it will fit no problem. It is a little slimmer than the old GE hood that I had in so there was a small gap but nothing real noticebale. This unit is a lot quieter than the my GE. Happy with the update and look.

A:  Yes. The QT2000 is a convertible range hood. This will be compatible with your ducting. As long as you have a 30" range hood now, then this 30" range hood will fit the same location. A:  Yes. The screws are in the box. Unfortunately, if the screws are missing, you will have to source them locally. These are not available as a replacement part.

A:  No. The filter that comes with it is not charcoal. The instructions that comes with it gives the model number for the charcoal filter. Bought one for mine at HD, about 8 or 9 bucks.

This is required for a ducted installation. Most convertible hoods would require that you purchase the charcoal filter separately.
