The original model was installed when house was built, (1990). Although it still worked, the painted surface was wearing away exposing metal, which was prone to rust. This model was an upgrade with variable speed exhaust fan plus two lamps. Plus it's stainless steel.

Installation instructions were clear and easy to follow. my wife was pleased with the looks and how quiet the exhaust fan performs.

Works great. Easy to install can use LED bulbs. Very quiet.

It's not as quiet as they want you to believe but it's much much quieter than my other. Well worth the dollar. Looks good , sounds good, and lights up good what more could you want.

Nice hood! We needed to replace the white range hood to match our stainless steel stove. The hood looks nice, runs quiet, and was reasonably priced.

Installation was easy, our handyman said. Works great, very pretty, the light is nice and bright.

The fan is powerful and quiet. It looks good and fits in well with the rest of our kitchen. We use the light in the range hood as a night light in the kitchen and I am very disappointed in how hot the twin appliance bulbs got. Even at the half power setting they were way too hot. This item is supposed to dissipate heat not produce it. I've removed one of the bulbs and am looking for a cfl or led that will fit. The space is too short for a standard cfl bulb. I'm concerned about the longevity of the fan. We had to replace the fan twice in our previous hood and I would like to think that this one will last longer.

Rumble when fan is on. Fan speed takes long to go to maximum and slow to adjust speed. Buy a quieter fan and spend the price. This cost $150 and I don't recommend it.

Very surprisingly disappointing product. Noisy and did not come with a filter. It lasted exactly 12 months, then just sputtered to a halt. This was direct vented, and did a poor job even on max.

This installation uses the option of exhausting to the exterior through the rear via a 3 1/4 x 10 inch duct. In terms of moving air away from the stove and outdoors, it functions as expected. The lamp is good, and the variable speed fan control is a nice feature. Broan calls it "quiet." Broan is wrong. Air noise level is fine, but the electric fan motor itself vibrates and hums in a maddening way.

Within the name it states it is a "quiet hood". There is nothing quiet about the fan. My old one which was 20 years old was quieter than this one.

Great mid range hood. Two lights with high low settings a plus and the speed control was great..

Bought this for the adjustable fan speed, and has two settings for the light. So far very happy with this hood.

Purchased and installed as a replacement hood. The one it replaced vented into the room, although the ductwork for external venting was in place. You absolutely MUST ensure that your measurements match those for the hood or you'll have problems. It is also difficult for one person to hold the hood in place while another installs it. We solved the problem by using an empty milkcrate and lumber, and an automobile jack. Also, "almond/bisque" is more white than almond.

Variable fan speeds, lower settings are very quiet. Upper speeds avg to less noise. Our previous fan was loud compared to this. We like having 2 light brightness settings. Weight in the box about 13#, easy to pick-up. Liked that this was delivered to our door and very quickly. Have used this product for 6 months now and we are very pleased. (We did not install ourselves, our house is just too strangely built for us to try. Seemed as though the handyman installed this without any problems.)

In fairness to Home Depot; they delivered the product on time and in perfect condition. That said, the overall quality of the hood was much lower than the 36 year old one I was replacing. Much lighter metal and cheaper construction.

The Broajn Kitchen Exhaust fan has a powerful & quiet motor and the two stage lighting feature really can be bright. This was an excellent purchase very competitively priced

This stove hood fan is the exact model and color I was searching for, It was an easy installation and works perfectly. The knobs are secure and the fan is powerful enough for regular cooking.

I special ordered this fan, installed it and it vibrates so bad it shakes the cabinets. Also, the night light feature is a joke, its probably about 95 % as bright as the regular light setting, useless. For 138$ it is junk. Its going back and will no longer buy anything that says broan on it!

Ordered online, product arrived shortly,no damage. Installation was pretty simple. Works great. Looks very nice. No problems. I would recommend for the money.

When fan is at high speed, loose plastic parts make a vibration noise in the front center near the fan knob. The rectangular piece of plastic used to close the front hole when ducted needs to be secured better to prevent that vibration.

I have never ordered anything like this over the internet but it was easy. I am very pleased with the product and the delivery was effortless. The fan is quiet like advertised and seems to do a good job of clearing the air. I also like the two light feature.

I like the variable speed fan and the light that has High and low settings.

This is the second time I have bought this range hood. First time seven years ago needed it in the color Bisque. For us it is a light fixture over the range because it isn't vented and it isn't really quiet. It looks good though. We bought the second one a couple of weeks ago because we went to black and stainless appliances in our kitchen. Didn't want to get a different model because we knew this one would fit and it would look good. However, we don't think the quality of this one is as good as the one we bought seven years ago.

Doesn't pull the smoke out. Paid for something and didnt get what I paid for. Too much trouble to take it down and return it.

Like the fans features (40% quieter) and the good shipping service from Home Depot.

We bought this about two months ago. Installation was easy with all of the options it comes with. However, be sure to install it as securely as you can, as the high speed function makes it rattle / noisy. Because I didn't want to fool with redoing the installation, I simply shoved a carpet sample between it and the cabinet, which solved the problem. My only complaints are the humming heard on the other side of the wall during operation, and the fact that light bulbs didn't come with it at $200 retail! lol
