The brightness was good, even in indirect sunlight. A small amount of shielding with a hand was needed to see it in direct sunlight, which is to be expected.

Bought for my wife to use at work. Great size, and the magnets allow her to keep it in her locker.

I use the product outdoors and in direct sun. It can be hard to see at times, but for what I used it for, usually within ten feet of me, it works well. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a laser line level.

Good level for short distance spot leveling and for simple alignment of pictures on the wall. Seems to be well made and bright enough to work in almost any lighting condition.

This is a handy little level. Quality is good as you would expect from Bosch. The small size makes easy to carry in pocket or tool belt. My only problem is that the bubble is a little hard to see and you can only see it from one side. The adjustable holder that you mount to the wall works well. I used it the other day for a stair rail. You don't have to use a screw to attach it to the wall like the instructions suggest. It has a flat flange on the top and bottom so you can tape it to the wall with masking tape.

Labor is very easy to use and operates as it should.

You have to put a screw in the drywall to hang it in order to use it. Online it says it come with adhesive strips, but the box doesn't indicate so or include any. Otherwise it looks like it would be a good level, just won't work in the most basic application.

I had this only for a day and quickly realized t wasn't what I needed. The laser itself is bright and straight. But it took some time to figure out how to get the level and its mount to line up right. I felt as though the level itself was good quality but the way it connects to the provided base/mount had play and was a bit difficult to keep in place. At the price point, I was expecting a basic laser to speed up some of the less complex around the house projects but I ended up spending more time making sure the laser wasn't going to move. Ultimately I returned it and will get a more feature packed laser in the future that doesn't include a megnatic attaching base piece. I would still recommend this laser as it has potential uses and the laser itself is solid quality, it just wasn't useful for my needs.

This laser works great, however it really needs a tripod to go with it to get the most use which wasn't in stock when I purchased. It would be helpful if it came with some means of wall attachment for DIY use's without the tripod. Also, Bosch makes a simple tripod and a more robust contractor grade tripod and HD didn't carry the simple one. I didn't feel the need to purchase the robust model as this would only get used around the house and my tools don't get banged up like they did when I was a contractor myself. I would recommend this if you purchase or have a tripod.

The laser level was easy to use. The laser spot was easily to see within the range advertise.

This worked very well for our purpose in aligning our paintings in a recent Exhibition. Spot on! Small lightweight and very accurate.

I purchased this so that I could use it to mount white boards and large items in our office perfectly level without scuffing up the walls or putting holes in it to mount the level. The bubble levels built into the unit are only true if you are using fixed to the wall however if you are using a tripod then there is no way to truly level the laser projection horizontally as both of the bubble levels are on the same side. putting just 1 more bubble level would make this perfect for tripod leveling. 3 stars for average as I dont think this was fully tested and during production.

I used this tool for basic mounting of shelves, etc. on walls and such. It handles all the basic functions of leveling and adjusting/alignment. It has a nice feature in that you can use the line laser or the point laser, depending on the application. It also comes with a mounting bracket that allows you to hang the tool on the wall so it stays put while you work. Flexible for various projects. Overall a good simple tool.

Gery well made. The chain is a disappointment. It is little flimsy. I hung mine indoors in front of a window. I am afraid that the chain would not hold up in the weather.. Love the design. Sounds great when I have the fan on. Good price.

This is a great tool for layout and tile work. I have built a tile shower in two bathrooms using this laser and an old camera tripod. The Laser base that comes with the laser has a screw port that fits a camera tripod. They are universal size. Setting up the tripod in the shower then using the leveling device on the laser base to insure that the device is level then turning it on the line mode allowed me to get straight starter lines on the first row of tile and by raising and insuring the level of the laser I was able to complete the shower with a professional look and all of the grout lines were perfectly straight. I also used the laser to lay out a room and set walls with accuracy. As a DIY'er this tool has given me a professional edge in my endeavors’. The tools is small and can fit in a tool box with ease. It is well constructed and so easy to use. As with all types of laser equipment wearing the proper safety equipment in most important. Laying the tile wall was my first ever time using a laser to accomplish work and it was only my third time tiling and it came out great. If you have never used a laser do what I did and Google it and you will have no problem with it. Super tool for a DIY’er or a professional.

I expected more from Bosch with this item. They usually are top notch with their stuff, but in my opinion this tool slipped through the cracks. The magnet that holds the laser to the base is pretty weak. They should have used an earth magnet to make it stronger, not to mention that they should have more magnetic surface on the laser to hold it different ways on the mount. Also its effective range is only 16'. Accuracy at 3.3' is +/- 3/64". So basically at your max effective range you can be up to a 1/4" off level. Really? Bosch makes better products than that. I also wish that it would put out a horizontal line so you could make the tool more useful, at least it would for me, so i didn't have to move the laser everytime I wanted to mount something else in the room. Not impressed this time.

The level that I received shot 1 3/4" High in 15' with the laser beam and 7 degrees out of plum with the laser line. I always test any new level with a known and trusted instrument, a simple water level in tubing. Since the level is so far out of alignment there is no way to use this unit for its intended purpose. I can't recommend anyone use one of these without checking them before first use.

This level is extremely easy to use, very sturdy and well put together, and compact enough to keep on you at all times

the bosch line level works fine once you can get it level it just takes a bit of time to get it at the right spot you need it the line will carry out to where you need it to go the pointer is very bright and goes a long way it would be much better if it was a self leveler

OK - I opened the package and found a small plastic level with tiny bubble levels for 2 dimensions. It also had a stand which magnets held the unit to, so you could level the laser ONLY in ONE direction. That was pretty lame. It has a line laser which shows a line across a floor or wall (horizontally), but if you want to use that same line for a vertical situation (like cutting sheet rock or any wall installation - perhaps a picture frame), you were on your own for leveling the actual device. Also the laser line display, when the unit was on its side (for vertical line display), was actually not a true 90 degrees. So since the stand it came with did not have 2 dimensional leveler screws, you pretty much could not easily use it for anything but a horizontal line. The final punch, was that the line display was only bright enough for about 10 - 15 feet at best. The point laser was good for about 25-35 feet so was ok. the line though was bright in the center, and dim on both ends. I am not real satisfied with this unit, and probably would tell someone to save their money for a decent 2 or 3 dimensional leveling laser line/pointer unit which could be screw adjusted in all directions.

What a cool product! I am getting a great deal of benefit from this laser line. I've always been a string line guy, but this product is making my job really easy these days. The magnetic mount makes this easy to use. The mount's finite adjustments make leveling it a breeze. The laser line is strong and easy to see and it goes a pretty good distance. Great for indoor and outdoor projects where you need to project a straight and level line over a distance.
