Q:Can you stick this to the wall using 3m command strips? I used to have a handy dandy one that used the 3m command strips to stick to the wall and project the laser on the wall (used mostly horizontally for curtain rods, etc.) Would using a 3m command strip prevent the laser from showing on the wall by moving the laser too far from the wall? The thought of using a 'pin' to mount to the wall tells me that it's going to leave a hole in the wall, which I don't want, no matter how small.

Q:I want to hang some track lighting centered over a kitchen countertop. If I set this on the counter and project up, will the projected dot on the ceiling be level?
        by|Mar 2, 2020
        1 Answer
        Answer This Question

A:  It will only project the center point of the counter on the ceiling if the counter itself is perfectly level on both axis. You can verify one of the axis by measuring from the wall to the laser dot and see if its the same distance as the wall to the center of the counter

        Perfect for small jobs
About this level laser A month ago for a porcelain tile shower job I was doing on my home and it worked PERFECT!! I then used It to hang some recessed can lights through our home and A few other little jobs my wife and I did.. Works great the only problem I saw with this is i call it the (pin) It's used to push the bottom part of the laser into the dry wall or whatever you're gonna be sticking it to and if you're not careful that Pin can break off and mine did but i replace it with a Screw ..

          Exceptional Value
This is a laser level that is clearly visible for maybe thirty feet selling for under $20. Are you going to use this to precision cut a several thousand dollar granite slab, no. This is the Handyman's aid to perfectly align the picture frames along a staircase. If you purchase this tool with that mindset you simply cannot go wrong. The unit is a 2.2 milliwatt red light laser. It can be used in a number of configurations. It has X and Y axis bubble levels integrated onto the housing that seem accurate on my unit. It has a detachable soft finish (Dry Wall, Cork, Etc) spike with an angle guide that mounts to the laser with a magnet. Again my unit is pretty accurate. If you are marking a line on a vertical wall I would tape the unit once you set your angle. It holds well on its own but if bumped it will not resist movement. So again this is not a several hundred dollar line generator for flawless high end contracting. But this is a fantastic Handyman/ DIY grade tool for making projects easier. I would recommend it without hesitation

          Simple, but Great!
This is a very simple laser level if you're not looking to spend too much money on one. Its very easy to use: just stick it into the wall with the swivel nail on the back and turn it on! It allows for full 360-degree rotation and has a horizontal and vertical bubbles to make sure everything is true. It says that the laser has a 10ft distance, but I'd say that the line is easily visible for at least 20ft, if not more. The actual laser level detaches from the angle adjustment on the back via a simple, but strong magnet. It has a safety feature built-in such that when the laser is separated from degree adjustment, the nail swivels inwards that way you don't accidentally poke yourself! Batteries were included. I did not include pictures of the device on because I couldn't get the picture to look right. Rest assure, the laser is very bright and easily visible no matter the lighting conditions.

          Everyone should have one
A horizontal & vertical level in one is very useful - and then you have the bonus of the laser to make absolutely sure you're exactly where you wanna be. I haven't tried the other attachment for angles yet, but for what I've used this for - it's top notch.
