This fencing is very easy to attach to a chain link fence with zip ties. It goes up very fast and with two people you can get it done with little effort. It helps to hide our neighbors yard from view which is why we purchased it. I do wish i'd have gotten the heavier one as i'm not sure how long this will hold up. Otherwise for the money it was a good buy. It does not totally block the view, but now it's not the first thing I see when I look out my kitchen window. Gives an illusion of privacy. I am looking at some climbing vines that will attach itself to the fencing so eventually it will block the whole fence so if the reed fencing comes apart later on the vines should finish doing the job. Over all i'm satisfied with it.

Terrific Fence!!
This is my second purchase of this product! It is a great item to provide a screen in the yard for nosy neighbors. I have experienced great success with using plastic ties to adhere the bamboo to 4x4 fence posts. The only drawback is that when they are first removed from the bag, the sealer is a bit odorous.

Great product.
Fence was easy to install and attach to each other. Light weight so it's easy to work with. Gives needed privacy without the cost of a permanent fence.

Great natural yard screening
The height is perfect for my yard, and gives a really nice natural atmosphere. I just used wire to lash this to the standard aluminum fencing that was already there, and it changed the whole feel.
You just really want to affix it tightly, and at 3 points (top, middle, bottom) at each stage (I did it about every 1 yard down the whole fence ). Hopefully that'll keep it standing straight / not sagging for a long time.

Great low-cost fencing.
I am very pleased with the size, quality and look of this product. I attached it to existing chain link fence to add style and increase security. Very happy with it and will probably buy more for other areas of our large backyard.

Looks good
Built a tiki hut and attached this fence to a solid wall. I don't think it would work very well as a stand alone fence because the reeds are kind of flimsy but it worked great for my application. Easy to work with. Only thing I didn't like was the measurements. You would really have to stretch it to get 16 feet

A ceiling instead of a fence
I knew when I purchased the reed it wasn't going to be for fencing. Our yurt ceiling was plain and I wanted to add some pizzazz and warmth, so I put the reed under the rafters and attached it with faux sinew to the end rafters . It is light and easy to work with and I highly recommend it to anyone thinking about their ceilings in a new way.

Great Product!
Several years ago I bought a Pergola to shade my deck. After just a few seasons, the fabric ripped and could not be replaced. I was left with just the metal frame. As I was searching for alternative ideas, I found this product available from Home Depot. Other customers had used it as a shade roof, so I decided to try it. Installing it was easy with just a few cable ties and some wood screws. I'm already finding other places I could use this.

A BEAUTIFUL FENCE TO KEEP MY CATS IN THE YARD!
One of my cats, Stevia, kept going over the wooden fence, so I searched and found this. It was so easy to nail the reed to the wood fence. I had some left over so cut it into sections of 2 feet, and put it the other way on top, so it kind of curls as you can see in pic. She still paces around, plotting another escape, but so far so good. I may not know how to change the date on this camera (still has last year's date when I got it) but thank God I can out smart a cat!

Bamboo reed fencing
Been a vision of mine for some time.. Easy to put up, simple zip ties. Installed over concrete wall. The wife loves it and so do all my friends.. recommend this product to anyone looking to improve over all look to their back yard and add some privacy.. Nothing worse than taking a little skinny dip in the pool to have your neighbors peeking over your wall.. hehehe

Found a Different Use
Was looking for something inexpensive to cover the back deck. While browsing the garden department at Home Depot, found this privacy fencing that was the perfect size and very light. Laid 2 1x4s across the top beams, stapled one side with a heavy duty stapler. Kept rolling the fencing across the top, moving the 1x4s until got the fencing to the other side...all 16 feet....perfect size and stapled it in place, Put the cover up first and spent the rest of the day working in the cool shade.

Can't Beat The Price !
Took me 60 min to install on my own. Would have been easier with help and access to the other side of the fence but no help and didnt want to bug the neighbors to go on their property. I kept the product role folded in half for a double layer. I unrolled it from the way it came and rolled it in the other direction. I kept unrolling it as I went so I could reach around the role to the other side of the fence for the zipties. I installed it on a 3' chin link fence but started it about 2" off the ground by placing two folded up lawn chairs under it as I went down the fence. The grass will cover the gap and this will give me 2" more of privacy on top. I used about 150 6" clear zip ties at the top of the chainlink fence and again half way down it, about 1' apart all the way down. I finished off with spraying it all with thompson's water seal. i got it for privacy since from my one side yard you can see a pedestrian bridge that goes over the water behind my house and lots of people go over it all day. You def want two layers of this! If you have help and access to both sides of the fence, even 3 layers would be amazing. i used two.

So far so good
It's what I expected....minimal privacy coverage but does the trick. I trimmed mine from 6 feet to 5 feet high using a circular saw. And the other reviewers are right, you won't get 16 feet out of a roll.
I over lapped two sections of it over a span of about 21 feet, so I have 4 foot sections on either side that only have one layer and you can really tell. I attached pictures because so many other people did and it really helped me make a decision. I suggest others do the same.
I used zip ties as well and it takes two people.

Great Value
This product was a superb value for the money. We were looking for a way to camouflage an ugly chain link fence and this product worked great. It was easy to install with some
wire twist ties (not included). It does let light through which
was perfect for our use. The only critique would be that the
fence is specified as 16' long and even when stretched it fell
almost 2' short of that.

This is a miracle product!
We installed a stockade fence to the outside of our existing chain link fence, but the inside of the fence made our backyard look like a true "eye sore". We were looking for a product that was attractive yet durable and reasonably priced, so we could cover the area. The reed fencing was so easy to work with and we attached it to the existing fence with clear cable ties. It not only covered the ugly pieces of wood and chain link, but it added more privacy and gave that particular area in our yard a lovely appearance. It took less than 4 hours to complete the entire job and are thrilled with the end result. We love this product and would certainly recommend it.

Gave a facelift to my fence!
Used this to hide a fried, patched cedar fence until we can replace it. Easy to install using a staple gun.
After a year in the AZ sun, it is starting to show its age, but worked well for the purpose intended.
Next time I think I will go with the bamboo to last longer.

Looks great
We're attempting to give our deck a more tropical look. My husband added on a roof to cover a bar he built and we used this product to make a great tropical look to top the roof off with. I plan to purchase more to use for decorative purposes during this transformation as it progresses.

Glad I bought the 4 pack
A single ply of this will NOT suffice. I bought the box to layer a 4' chainlink fence on both sides to cover an open spot that used to be covered with a butterfly bush that was removed. I am a little leery as to how long it will last, and it is feels relatively brittle with how thin the reeds are. The day after installation it stood up to 60 mph wind and storms without a problem. Double ply is the only way to go. I anchored every 2' directly to the tension bar. It took me about 5 minutes to hook it up to the fence using chain link hooks. I used 2 panels for the section, I have a lot left. I will run a single ply along the remainder of the fence where I already have tree coverage to complete the look.

awesomeness
i love this stuff. it sheds a bit but i feel like this might be normal for any kind of fencing. i cut it in half and put the two halves together (for double the privacy) on my balcony so i wouldn't have to keep sharing awkward glances and smiles with my neighbors haha. i know that sounds awful-- but one smile and greeting per day is enough. It's durable enough to be okay with light wind and some rain yet light enough to be cut in half. I used zip ties as other reviewers recommended and it looks awesome. i feel like i have a little oasis on my balcony now. AND IT WAS SO AFFORDABLE!! i'm really happy with the purchase.
