Made cheaper than they used to be. As mentioned in other reviews, the blade guard on this edger and the other brands interferes with the grass edge significantly if your grass area is thick and higher than the sidewalk. I had to modify the blade guard as shown in the photos. With that mod which is easy, it works okay. Unfortunately, appears to be no other brands to select of that are better. Handle is too small and flimsy. Not good when have to modify tool just bought to make it usable!!

I’m begging you—stop reading all reviews and DON’T BUY THIS! it is junk. The bolt for the blade run in the same direction—you have you tighten the bolt several times. If you are even in the thinnest grass it will get loose and hope and pray you dont burn yourself or cut yourself tightening it. The handle moves left to right as you are truing to edge. HUGE SAFETY CONCERNS!! Called the company and TOLD ME TO GO GET ANOTHER ONE—WITH THE SAME PROBLEMS ZERO STARS—I WOULDNT GIVE THIS TO MY WORST ENEMY

He actually screamed when I gave this to him for review. He was so excited. He has built a bench out doors. He fixed our washer. He mounted TVs. He put together cribs and changing tables for the twins coming. Not once did he have a complaint. The fact it comes with a holder and carrier for these is incredible. Being able to keep everything together and accessible easily is a life saver. No mess. Highly highly recommend. The tools are all high quality. Sturdy in your hands, but not heavy enough to make your arms tired. The battery lasts for days on this drill at full power. I just can’t say enough good things about this set.

Every piece in the kit is made really, really well with quality materials. And, each piece is super durable too! This is obviously important because each piece is used a lot and so far, I don't feel like anything is going to fall apart on me! The fact that it comes with a drill/driver AND 66 other tools and accessories, it makes this a great kit to have! This kit includes the Drill/Driver, a 20V lithium battery and charger, tape measure, utility knife, needle nose pliers, wrenches, screwdrivers, hammer, slip joint pliers, hole saws with mandrel, bit holder, a BUNCH of different bits and a storage bag! It really does have everything you need for any project you need to do! The drill/driver is actually fairly light too but it packs a punch! The charger doesn't take long to get fully charged and it actually lasts for a fairly long time which is a huge bonus in my opinion! The storage bag fits everything too and keeps things organized and it's easy to carry around too. All in all, yes, I DO highly recommend this kit! If you are someone who does a lot of projects, or even if you don't, it is a must have! If you get this kit you won't need any other kits. I say give it a shot because you won't regret it!

The battery life is great, I've put together several pieces of furniture since receiving this drill & I haven't had to charge it again. It's very lightweight & easy to use. Includes a lot of useful tools to put together any and all projects. The light on the drill is helpful when using it in dark areas. It has overall exceeded my expectations.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is an awesome tool set. If you’re a new homeowner or just want to have a basic set of tools handy then this is a great set. It includes all the basic tools like screwdrivers, measuring tape, blade, hammer and pliers which are things I use frequently around the house. It also has a drill which had been handy for small home projects. The tools all have comfortable handles and are easy to grip. They have a good weight to them and are not light or cheap quality. The drill is lightweight and fits well in my hands. The battery also lasts a long time so I’m glad I don’t need to charge it frequently. Although there is a bag included, I would have preferred a hard sided case for better protection of the tools and easier organization. Overall this is a good starter tool set and a must-have at home.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a great set of beginner tools! I used multiple tools to remove a garden hose reel from the side of a home. The ratchet set worked great for one of the bolt sizes. Thw ratchet set isnlimited to only 4 sizes and none of the sizes fit the other bolts. I was able to use the adjustable wrench for these bolts. The knife cur through the rubber garden hose with ease. The drill seems powerful enough for its size and the battery last a decent while.

It comes with battery and charger, drill bits and tips, handheld tools and accessories for minor projects. I was surprised at the quality and amount of tips and bits that come in the kit. Everything fits nicely in the bag provided. The tools are durable and work great! The drill holds the charge well and has enough torque to loosen 5/16 nut. I’m impressed. Since, it can all be kept nicely in the bag we’ve put this in our camper for weekend repairs and it has been a lifesaver. We are looking to pick up a couple more sets to leave in our farm trucks, rather than having to run back to the main farm for tools.

This kit has everything I need. It comes with 66 hand tools and accessories. A 20-volt Max Lithium-ion drill, battery and charger, screwdrivers, wrenches, drill bits and more that you can put in a durable storage bag. The only issue I have is storage bag needs a divider or separator so all the accessories aren’t loose in the bag. This is the only kit you’ll need. I’ve used this on numerous projects around the house. The drill is powerful and I love that it has a light on the end of it so I can see what I’m doing. High quality brand that gives me high quality results. I’m definitely happy with this kit and the end results.

I recently used some of these tools to fix my stove that was having issues. They are handy and work quite well! The drill is my personal favorite out of this kit.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Black And Decker Drill and Home tool kit is perfect for me! I love to tackle DIY projects at home and the drill is compact and lightweight making it easy for me to use. The battery lasted all day and the drill bits worked amazing on all of my projects involving wood. This does not have concrete bits included so you need to but those separately if working with concrete. I love the convenience of having a carrying bag to carry the tools in because I was working on my decks outside as well as hanging light fixtures in the house, and this was very handy! The lithium battery is included as well as many other tools such as pliers, a hammer, adjustable wrench and screwdrivers ,which makes this set perfect for anymore doing small repairs around the house. I am thrilled with this tool set and I highly recommend it!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This set is a great tool set with everything you need to get pretty much any basic house job done, it comes with a drill that has the not only the drills but screw heads so you can make holes for screws and anchors and then screw the screws and anchors into the wall, a nice light weight hammer with a long enough handle to get a good grip, a wrench, a Phillips and flathead screw driver, box cutter which is great for not only cutting boxes but thin tile sheets, tape measure and a few other things. I love having a matching tool set because it looks nice if you hang your tools up but this also comes with a really nice bag that has plenty of room for any extra tools you have. The drill does come with a charger and it does charge pretty fast if your in the middle of a project so you don’t have to wait forever to wait for it to charge and the heads are really easy to take on and off if you need to switch them out often and it’s not super heavy, I could easily hold it with one hand when screwing in a shelf to the wall. Honestly whether you uses tools frequently or your just want a tool set for your home this is a pretty great one to have because you will more than likely use everything even if just once.

They are very very handy and very good quality it comes with everything you will need to build anything you want or just fix things around the house. The drill it self comes with a charger to charge the battery ones it's dead. I really recommend this tool box specifically now that Father's Day is around the corner will make a great gift. 100% recommending to all my friends and family.

A great drill, a plethora of bits, hand tools, and specialty bits that aren’t normally included in a pack. The drill is super sturdy, and the battery for sure lasts plenty of time to make it through my DIY projects throughout the house. It’s compatible with my other Black and Decker products, like my stick vacuum, so I have extra battery power with it when I run out. At this price point, you really can’t go wrong with this set!

It comes with a good number of assortment, and also comes with a hammer and measuring tape. The battery life is excellent so far. This drill is perfect for those needs around the house and outdoors, and it's a great deal for the price. I wasn't sure it would work well enough for the jobs around the house but, after using it for some time now I love it. I would buy again!

I have used these tools to install a light fixture, attach pictures to the walls and many other projects too. I like that this tool set includes a wide variety of tools and it also comes with a powerful cordless drill. This set also comes with a storage bag but I think it could be designed a little better. I would like to see dividers because everything is loose with this particular bag. I highly recommend this good quality, portable tool set.

It is a must get for anyone that needs a new drill and some new tools.     The drill itself feels really nice in my hands. It's light enough to make it easy to use but heavy enough to withstand rough use. The drill has more the enough power for ordinary usage. The only thing that bothers me is the part to screw on the bits feels like it needs lubricated but it's hardly an issue.      One of the nicest things about the drill is the battery. It holds a long charge for normal usage. The best part about it is that it's very versatile. Black and Decker makes other electric tools that fit the same battery!      The other tools in this set are really just an added bonus. They feel like they are built well. The pillars could use a bit more lubricant though. I'm sure they will all serve me well for a multitude of uses.      I do wish the carrying case that comes with this set was more useful. It would be nice if it had different compartments to organize all the different tools in this set. Instead it is literally just one big pocket. It fits everything but it's a bit of a mess.      Overall this set is excellently made and I feel the tools will last a long time. I would highly recommend this set for anyone that needs a new drill and some new tools.

Sadly this is not the Black and Decker Edge Hog. I've had 2 over the course of my life and used them until they burn out (They last for years). They were by far the best value for an edger, easy to use and lasted for years. I'm hard on my edgers as my sidewalks can attest. I finally burnt out my latest B&D Edge Hog, so off to the store to get another. This edger is from Black & Decker but it is NOT the Edge Hog. Quality feels cheap. There are only 2 settings for depth instead of 3 like the Edge Hog. The tube had 3 sections, instead of two and at the longest it feels short, I have to lean over to use and I'm not very tall (5'9") My biggest complaint is the small forward grip. The Edge Hog and many other edgers have a loop type grip that makes edging much easier. I took the old loop handle off my old Edge Hog and jury-rigged it to this one. It does nice edge so two stars but it is uncomfortable to use and has a cheap quality feel compared to the Edge Hog. I regretted my purchase after first use and will look at other brands when my rigged handle breaks or when this thing dies. Sorry B&D, Bring back the Edge Hog!

Lawn maintenance is annoying enough without the added frustration of gas powered small engines that won’t start when you finally find the motivation to do yard work. That’s what spurred me to buy this and I have to say I was skeptical about how effective it would be with our clay soil in north Texas. But this edger surprised me and worked really well! Easy to assemble, easy to operate, and priced really well. I’d buy it all over again.

Very easy to aasemble, lighweight. Get the job done! My husband loves it. Its perfect for edging the sidewalk and driveway areas.

The weight is moderate. Manipulate is easily. It has three depth setting 1, 1.25,1.5 inches. Good brand. It looks very reliable and durable. The price is moderate. Very little maintenance is required. Just plug in and run. So far so good. It creates a very clear cut in the sidewalk edge. I purchased it on 8/9/2020 at Columbia.

Easy to set up and great for the price, dont force it just let it do its job!

Another lady and I NOW maintain the immediate front of our church lawn, while the "lawn crew guys" rough out the remaining large parts of the church yard. Initially, the "crew" also mowed and edged (with a weed-eater) our part of the church front. The crew was not the least bit careful with our new grass, flower beds, and benches, so we (two 70-year old ladies) bought an electric lawnmower and an electric edger. Now, we have the prettiest part of the entire church yard. The easy-to-use Black + Decker Edger makes the most beautiful edge up and down the sidwalks and curbs for us. The edging line is the frame to our picture-perfect church front! We look forward to many years of a beautiful church front-a-la-Black+Decker.
