It fractured at the hinges after only 15 months of light home use. I have seen very cheap ones last for years and years-so I am very unhappy with this product. I will buy one from a different manufacturer this time. I bought two last year, one is still in use and seems to be working ok but I am questioning this one too. I have the receipts if required.
My product is very similar as to the one shown above, basically similar kind of hinges and called as whisper-close.

Nice look and feel to it. Easy to install. I question the sturdiness and longevity of the "just-lift" connectors, but I trust them enough to have replaced all three of my toilet seats with them. So far, so good.

I installed this seat about 30 days ago. easy to install. Worked very well as stated as far as soft closing. Unfortunately, one of the hinges on the seat has broken already and the soft close function doesn't work. I had to replace it with a different Brand.

A receipt is not needed. Place your item in a clear plastic bag. The retail store does not have to handle the toilet seat in any way, other than to dispose of it for you. They will simply view the damage and give you a new warranty seat in exchange. You may have the store call us at 1.888.722.6488 while you are there if they need assistance. We will instruct them to replace the seat for you.

This product has a new feature that allows you to lift it straight up without disassembling it for a more thorough cleaning. Of course, what you gain in convenience you lose in stability as the seat moves around a bit since it is not fixed to the basin. Overall, it serves its purpose well.

Easy to install and easy to clean. It closes with just a light touch. First time buying a plastic (usually use the painted wood) we are very pleased with this toilet seat and think will replace other bathroom with the same seat. The appearance is nice also, bright white. We have had it in our home for about five weeks now and have not had a issue. Would recommend to others.

Product is neat, and closes effortless and quiet. Purchased two in March 2016. By October 2016, need to replace one of them, since the left connection mechanism between toilet seat and ring split and broke off without a possibility to repair. I would like to add that we are not heavy sitters, or use those toilet seats in an abusive manner, so breaking so quickly is a bit disappointing. Producing the same product in a domestic environment at a slightly higher price would probably have avoided this. Otherwise, good product.

Chino, Thank you for your recent purchase. Toilet seats come in two standard sizes: Round and Elongated. Round size is about 16.5 inches long, while Elongated size is about 2 inches longer at 18.5 inches. To measure, you typically measure the bowl to determine the size. Once you know the size, you should feel confident that a seat of the same size will fit.
Home Depot has a nice size guide online. Click on "more info" and then "instructions / assembly".
You want to measure the bowl form the center of the bolt holes to the front of the bowl. Any given bowl can be give/take a fraction of an inch but they should be close to 16.5 or 18.5 inches. If the bowl doesn't have a standard shape, you will need a specific seat that is made for that bowl. For that you'll need to know the make and model of the bowl to get the best fit. interesting, but....
It's a fine seat, but I didn't realize how it worked until I'd bought and installed it. Frankly, I think the easy removal seats are a much wiser idea if that kind of cleaning is necessary. Not really worth the difference in price from a standard seat without the "lift" feature.
