Out of the box it felt sturdy. It looks great with the mailbox we chose. We went from having the worst mailbox on the street to having the nicest looking one.

Great Mailbox and post to mount it on. It fit perfectly over a treated 4" X 4" post in the ground and if you drill a couple of holes to secure it to the wood, you would think its metal in the ground.

Great quality. Nice finish. The mounting bracket matched the mailbox perfectly making mounting a snap. I inserted a 4 x 4 so I could run the post deeper into the ground. Wish they made a 72 inch steel post.

This is a heavy, substantial mailbox post good for supporting a large heavy duty mailbox. Needs to be set in concrete and should last a long time. Very happy with my purchase!

If you want a strong long lasting support pole this is the one for you.

The post is well made. I was very surprised at just how solid, and as a result, how heavy it was. The surface finish was smooth and evenly applied. It came covered in plastic and was internally secured at several places to prevent movement during shipment. It also included mounting hardware for the matching mail Box I purchased with the post. If you're going to dig a "hole for the post, you install it with the mail box mounting interface on the top as shown. It slid down smoothly over a 4x4 wooden post (your option). I used one when I installed it. There are also installation instructions for other surfaces such as concrete (old or fresh) which will make for a more involved process, plus an advisory to check with the USPS to assure you are compliant with their installation regs. All-in-all, I'm very pleased with this post.

Looks great, but we haven’t installed it yet. Not sure that it is long enough. (How many inches should be placed in the ground or cement?)

Quality material

Very sturdy mount for my mailbox. I put a few 9 inch bolts into the bottom prior to sinking it into the concrete to add stability. Once the concrete was set, I installed a new HD mailbox onto the post with some stainless steel bolts, which lined up perfectly to the existing holes, and done!

The color is exactly like the picture online. A dark grey. It’s heavy duty metal and looks nice and sleek against the black mailbox I ordered. Also the holes aligned up perfect and my husband didn’t have to make any new holes in the mailbox. Great purchase!!

This post fit the Architectural Mailboxes box perfectly, and was easy to install. The length of this one (and an even shorter one) indicates that they are intended to be used over a 4X4 post, but this was long enough and heavy-duty enough to be plenty sturdy on its own.This post made installing my new mailbox a snap.

Came with hardware for mailbox and was easy to install. Solid construction and welding. Presents well.

Excellent post. Quite tall! Doesn’t need to be that tall. Good quality.

One side of the metal post platform is bent downward. The box it was shipped in showed no damage so I assume a damaged post was put into the box and sold to me. I am going to return this. This a hefty/heavy piece and couldn’t easily be bent like this.

Good, solid post - the right balance of wall thickness and outside dimensions. Finish seems sufficiently durable. Installation went as anticipated.

Very solid and worked well with my mailbox. Put it in a hole with Quik Crete and it is strong and secure.

Post quality is superior than the mail box, just solid. I added 4x4 inside the post to make it much stronger. It is heavy and very thick metal like I said solid. Excellent quality. I hope they maintain it.

Mailbox mounted to the pole with exact precision. I did use a 4x4 to insert inside of it. The 4x4 held the pole vertical while the concrete set up.
