Tank cracking seems to be a common problem with this model toilet. I have purchased 6 American standard toilets for different homes I have owned over the years and this is the first time we have had any issue. Must have been a bad run on the tank molds. My daughter sat down quickly and when she did the tank broke In multiple places and water went everywhere. I have never had anything like this happening. Lucky she didn’t get hurt as a result. These toilets are not cheap hopefully American standard does the right thing for all the people who have had problems with the tanks...

easy to install, looks great and preform great.

I bought this toilet four days ago and had a plumber install it. Pretty immediately after the plumber left, I noticed drops of water around the back/base of the toilet, which appeared to be coming from where the base and tank come together. I had the plumber come back today, and after he took a look he discovered that the gasket that came with the toilet was faulty. Another hefty service charge later, there's a new gasket on the toilet and I'm hoping it's fixed. The gasket that came in the box was defective, and now I'm out a lot of money on a second service call to replace it very soon after it was installed. The toilet does look nice, but I would have expected everything to work as intended right out of the box.

Very happy with our purchase. We have Kohler but we are happier with this toilet. Uses less water, refills quick and not noisily and flushes just great.

Home Depot installed toilet and it has worked okay so far. A little noisy but not bad. Doesn't use much water and quickly refills tank.

I replaced the same kind with this one, and was glad that the top of the tank was flat.This one is quiet but not as energetic as my previous Champion.

Excellent toilet height for getting on and off. Super quiet when refilling. Powerful flush. The only thing I would suggest is that if you are purchasing a toilet that it should come with a toilet seat. Would be nice to purchase a complete toilet.

I was very disappointed in the cheap plastic handle on this toilet. We purchased a different American Standard toilet last year, and were very pleased. Our other purchase was a white Optum VorMax Tall that came with a slow closing seat ($269). This toilet (in bone) was $299 and the slow closing seat was an additional $48. The cheap handle makes it look like a builder’s grade $99 model instead of the nearly $350 that we spent.

The lids are very flimsy.

Bought this model a week ago. It leaked on day one. Had the plumber come back 4 times to try and fix the problem. Tried 2 different toilets, same model. Both leaked. Finally he stated they were cracked and defective. Very frustrating.

I had one of the first toilets that used little water that became available in the mid 90’s. Although functional, it got clogged far too often and was extremely difficult to clear with a toilet stopper or augur. This toilet gets the job done the first time every time! They advertise that it’s capable of handling a bucket of golf balls. I’ll take their word for it. It was a great value for the money I spent and I’m looking forward to decades of service!

Easy installation and works great!

We initially had a problem installing the water tank to the base. After three tries and having the water leak out each time, I returned the tank to LOWES. They confirmed my analysis that the bolt holes where approximately 3/16" out of line, and replaced the tank with a new one. We both measured the hole placement on the new tank and found them to be exactly in line from the tank edge. It installed and worked the first time! We like the fast and quiet operation of the system. We are concerned that there is little if any water that flushes down the back side of the commode. After several weeks of operation now, we have found it necesary to clean the back above the water line on several occasions.

Leaked, unable to use, returned too Home Depot.

I love the way it flushes so quickly & quietly. I would definitely but it again.
