Efficient yet short flush, not as noisy as past toilets which is good since it is adjacent to bedroom.

We bought 2 toilets because the ones that came with our new house would not flush properly at times. Our American Standard toilets work flawlessly and we are happy we bought them.

This the third Champion 4 I've installed in my home and all three have never required more than a single flush to flush the load regardless of amount. The only problem has been the pin that attaches the flush lever to the plunger/valve need to has broken on 2 of 3 toilets. Highly recommended.

I purchased a year ago and am glad i did. Looks good and is functionally sound.

I replaced the three toilets in our home with the American Standard Champion Toilet (1.6 gal flush) and we are very pleased with these toilets performance. The advertised "Best Flush" is certainly not overstated...we have had no issues with clogging or incomplete flushes.

Two months ago I purchased this toilet for my mom's upstairs bathroom. I purchased two Champions for my own home in 2003 and I love them. I used to have to keep a plunger handy for pretty frequent clogs but I put it in the basement 10 years ago and have not used it once with the Champion! About 6 years ago I noticed that both toilets started to have some issues with water flowing into the tank and I discovered that the flush valve seal wasn't sealing tightly anymore. I called Customer Service and they sent out two new flush valves out right away. Instructions were included and I didn't have to get a plumber to install them. It was easy. I also had a problem where the handle got too loose on one of the toilets and again Customer Service sent one out right away. When my mom needed a new toilet I told her it HAD to be a Champion. Her water is very hard and I've noticed that her Champion stays cleaner than the other brand in the downstairs bathroom. When it comes time to replace that one it will be a Champion for sure.

During the time I remodeled three bathrooms in our home, the existing toilets were replaced with the Champion style toilets by American Standard...all three, two were the round and one the elongated...this was about four years ago and I can honestly say we've not had one problem with them...with the exception of one of the seals which when requested was sent quickly and the leak was solved...I could not be more pleased with these toilets...

I replaced 3 Sterling water closets with the American Standard Champion 4. I must say that these toilets are the best flushing on the market. In my rental property I installed TOTO Drake and the Champion 4 out performs them hands down. American Standard hit the mark with this water closet, keep up the good work.

Bought this months ago. What an awesome purchase. Best flush I have every witnessed. Will buy purchase again when ever I need another toilet.

I bought my first Champion 4 a few years ago after continued clogging problems with my old toilet.  My Champion 4 has never clogged.  I bought another one a few months ago.  Best toilet I've ever owned.  I've never had to unclog it, and it always flushes perfectly.  Enough said. 

After one year of service, I couldn't be more pleased with the Champion 4 I installed in the main bathroom. I fully intend to replce the dated one in the half bath with the same efficient and attractive model.

I purchased two of these toilets after buying one a few months ago and liking it so much. As soon as I experienced the efficiency and quietness of the flushing, I was sold. My goal was to replace all the toilets in my house with this one. Goal met!

I chose this toilet based on its high rating in Consumer Reports. After 1 month of my own use, I have experienced no clogs for any size load. It has an unadvertised feature which is very attractive - a means of activating a reduced water flush (which I estimate to be about 1.28 gpf) by depressing and releasing the handle very quickly.

I had to return the first toilet, right and left tank bolts leaked. The second toilet also leaks at the tank bolts and rather than remove the toilet for a second time I purchased new tank bolts and washers and sanded the inside area around the tank holes which was very rough and not allowing a proper seal.

The Champion 4 is so great I also replaced my other bath room with this toilet.......One time flush with NO haggling with a second!!! This baby is better than any 3 gallon that used to be on the market.....You will not be disappointed..........

I like everything except that when seated, there is a slight backward tilt. I would have preferred a level sitting position.

This toilet installs fairly easily. It took a little work with the bolts. Overall, it was a vast improvement over the toilet it replaced. For a low flow toilet it works very, very well. It flushes quickly and does not need "reflushing". Highly recommended.

We upgraded from an old toilet that was leaking. We're very pleased with our purchase and looking forward to no more clogs. Can't wait to see the next water bill

I'm very happy, I just bought this model and it looks that spend less water that the one I had before ! I absolutely recomend to buy this model !

Other than being told it would be 3-5 days for shipping I really like the product...it was closer to 10 days+. The product itself is great....may need to hold down handle on occasion but not normally. Good flushing power.

We have lived in our house over 19 years and had the same american standard toilet we bought the house with. It clogged daily! We are VERY pleased with this purchase since we installed it 2 mos ago, we have not had to use the plunger once! I had to wait a month before this model came back in stock, but happy we kept checking to see if Home depot would carry it online again. Service rep was great, and I got it for the original price it was advertised for when I had placed the original call.

This is actually the fourth Champion toilet I have purchased this year...replaced three at my home and gave one to my son as a gift (what a guy!). I can't speak for my son who lives 600 miles away, but our's have worked without any problem for the past nine months or so, and I expect that problem free use to continue for some time. The best part of my recent purchase was the free shipping I got from Homedepot.com directly to my son's home. Yes, the Champion costs a few bucks more than other toilets, but I think the price was worth it. As to installation, I don't think installing any toilet is easy or fun :-{, and bottom line, I paid for my installation which probably cost too much since I did not age a "three for" discount. All in all, I am very satisfied.

this is the second American standard toilet I've purchased in the past 60 days. The first clearly stated in the add that it did not have a toilet seat. This one did not indicate that there was no seat and showed it with one and so I did not order one. It arrived and no seat. I was told by retailer/[@]that somewhere in product features it was mentioned. I had to then order a seat and pay additional freight, making the total price $60.00 more than expected other then that toilet is great that's why I bought a second one so quickly.

Purchased this toilet for a small bathroom. Had an experienced plumber install it. It leaked from both the left and right side. After multiple attempts to correct it without success, returned it (no issues on the return, Home Depot took it back without issue).

This toilet replaced one which was almost continually clogging and has not been a problem since it was easily installed 8 months ago. Smooth, rounded surfaces make cleaning easier.

Before installing this toilet I had a plunger in each bathroom. This toilet boasted a larger outlet and a ten year warranty. I replaced three old toilets. I think I have had one clog in three years. They use less water. One started leaking water into the bowl in only a year. The service department sent replacement parts in less than a week. I have installed and used cheaper toilets. I definitely reccomend these as a long term solution.

'Since purchasing our new American Standard Model **** Toilet, I can honestly say that courtesy flushes are a thing of the past. This toilet can withstand anything, including my Husband, who spends a great deal of time testing the strength and endurance of this product. Out of sight in seconds, even the most "full load" disappears in quickly, on to wherever those things end up (thankfully). We have admired the capacity of this toilet ever since it debuted on Married With Children as Al Bundy's ever faithful flusher. Can't say enough nice things about this mighty flusher! FLUSH ON!' My wife is So darned funny, isn't she? :rolleyes: Seriously though, I am a retired Plumber. Over the years I have had the experiance of installing, using, repairing, and cleaning "just a few" toilets in my lifetime. I can honestly say that the American Standard Champion 4 is my all time favorite. This is what I have used to replace all of the toilets in the house that we own. I chose it because I demand something that I know will hold up to the test of time. I can feel confident that when we have people over, I'll never have to worry about hearing that there is a problem in the bathroom. No embarassing moments, it just works perfectly as it should and looks great. Now that I am retired from Plumbing, I've been recruited to work at a local nationwide hardware store as a Master Plumbing Associate. You can bet that 90% of the time, I can talk customers out of purchasing one of the cut rate bargain basement toilets and frequently into this toilet because of my experiances. Thank you for engineering such a fine piece!

I wanted a toilet that would conserve water and not clog. The plunger hasn't been used in two years! Great toilet.

I have had this toilet for about 5 years with no problems. It has never clogged no matter how much it had to flush. Occassionly it will have what looks like a weak flush but it still gets the job done. No problems installing it. Great toilet.
