Install was extremely easy and straight forward. I did not use the wax ring provided, partially because it was damaged and I like having a flange on the wax ring. My biggest complaint, one toilets mounting bolts measured 11” from the wall, so I used a 10” rough opening tank, there’s a solid 3” gap from the back of the tank to the wall, a 12” rough opening tank would have fit just fine and not left a large gap. I am happy with the flush performance.
Four star is based on the fact that a 12” would’ve worked on an 11” rough opening, maybe that’s on me, I am not sure.

I installed this toilet in about 2 hours. Everything went together with no problems. It flushes with authority. No adjustment needed. It’s a bit pricey but works as advertised.

Defects in Porcelain
Upon opening the box I was distressed to find defects in the porcelain. There are two pinholes and a 2-inch indentation at the passageway that connects the tank to the bowl. Will it crack or leak at that defect? If I return the bowl, will the replacement also have defects that may be worse? Not sure what to do.

Works perfectly
This toilet hasn’t clogged yet! It’s been about 8 months since installing it ourselves. Still no clog! Not even with my 9 year old son who uses way too much toilet paper. Another big sell is that American Standard uses universal parts. After living with a new builder grade toilet, that never worked well, even after repairs, I’ve come to realize how much peace and joy a great working toilet can bring into one’s life. I seriously give a nod of appreciation to this wonderful toilet everyday.

Really like these toilets. Bowl is a little smaller than I expected but not a major issue. Easy to install. Water usage per flush is only 1.28 Gal. Great flushing power. I give them a 5 rating.
The only problem I encountered was with the HD on-line order/tracking system. Problems from the start. Delivery to the store was 3 days late. I would give this system a 1 rating. Tracking system was useless.

the float is hanging up on the wall of the tank. I put a wedge between them but the float is still not smooth and only goes down sometimes.

Should have listened to my plumber
Totally disappointed. We’ve had AS Champion toilets for years. Best ever. But they didn’t come in a 10” rough-in, so I researched and looked at this model’s videos. It showed a video of flushing everything down without a problem, so we purchased the toilet. First issue is that the tank top doesn’t squarely fit on the tank. It will not seat completely. Second issue is that I’ve had to plunge this toilet at least a dozen times since installing it 3 months ago. Not much paper, either.

Easy to install
easy to install, flushes quickly, oh I did not use the wax I bought the fluidmaster easy seal and that was a breeze, no messy wax. And I am a 65 yr old woman removed and installed it all myself

American Standard Makes Good Commodes
My handyman installed the Cadet 3 toilet in my rental house without any problems. However, I was disappointed that this toilet didn't include a seat which seems to be a standard item with other brands. Nevertheless, my tenants and their dog are happy users.

Great flushing toilet
Toilet very easy to install. All neccessary parts included. Only wish that they included instructions on adjusting ball on flapper. My unit would not flush properly untill I found a place on line and adjusted the flapper float. Great flushing toilet and love the slow closing seat and the 1.28 gallon flush.

Great toilet but no wax ring
Excellent product. No problems with installation and no adjustments needed. Noticeably quieter than I expected. Only issue should include wax ring and flange bolts.
