bought as a gift, liked it so much I bought one for myself
I love the color display , especially the "floating" moon phase display, the long range of the outdoor sensor .. yes, the display dims if viewed below eye level (if your eye is lower than the display) but I have it on a desk, and the other one on a shelf and it's fine .. oh, and something I just found out, pressing the top light button to AUTO makes it change from dim to bright/bright to dim at a certain time of day depending on the season (-: very good unit , especially for the price

Good in concept terrible in execution
Although I like the company and they try to do their best, and I was very pleased with their other great products, this one fails to hit the mark. The screen becomes quickly invisible unless you are standing on top of it. With a black screen, it is useless. Would suggest a better back-lighting system, but unfortunately, at this price point, that may not be possible. But then again, why would I need something I cannot see?

We apologize that your unit is experiencing this issue but we would be happy to assist! Please make sure that you are using standard alkaline batteries from a high-quality brand in the unit as well as the included power adapter, then perform the following reset. ***This will clear all data on the display.***
1. Remove all power, AC adapter and/or batteries from the display unit for a full five minutes.
2. Press and hold down the reset button, located in the battery compartment, for 20 seconds if applicable.
3. Plug back into AC power and/or insert recommended batteries.
4. Press and hold down the reset button for an additional 20 seconds if applicable.
5. Verify that the unit has powered on and once a connection has been made, attempt to set time and date.

The display is in blue and yellow color.
A weather station icon shows the outside conditions. The high or low temps and humidity are easy to see. It has a barometric pressure also. Its quiet and has a big display.

I love this unit. After dealing with the nightmare of a GBLife, I finally gave up and returned it. I was wary of trying another one, but after reading the reviews, I bought this Acurite weather station and I love it. It was a cinch to set up.(less than 5 mins) and the time automatically set. It is displaying both the indoor and outdoor temp accurately. It has a learning curve to become more accurate and the weather station took 24 hours to be perfectly accurate. The learning light goes out once the unit has adjusted. I am so glad I got this weather station.

Replacement for older model.

Best display of weather information.
This station has it all: in and out of temperatures and humidity with 24 hour high and low. Future weather icon with barometric pressure with moon display. Purchased 4 units many years ago, 5 units as Christmas gifts and have 12 units on standby for future gifts. Best weather display available.

This is my third AcuRite, same model. Same Sensor fails problem every time. End up purchasing the entire product because it is not worth buying just the Sensor including shipping. Yes, it is slightly cheaper buying just the Sensor but there is still the question that this is the real problem. I do like the product so I take the added expense and buy everything.

AcuRite 02027A1 Color Weather Forecaster with Moon Phase
The weather forecaster works very well. We currently have this exact model which we purchased several years ago for our primary home and bought the current one to use at our second home. We have been very happy with the quality and performance of our original weather forecaster and look forward to many years of good service from the one just purchased.

Moon not displaying properly.
The moon should be fully lit as today is the full moon but the far left last section is not lit. I suspect that section will never light.

Always a delight to see weather stats via your units!
Sent as a Christmas present, but set it up by installing batteries. Nice unit , full of features, the display is a bit subdued, but works and looks great. Expect my big Sister will be pleased when she opens it up on Christmas Day! I own two AcuRite weather stations at home and in the shop❤️

Outdoor temperature reads 13 degrees too high,
After 4 days, outdoor temperature is wrong, and forecast feature has never worked.

We apologize that your station is reading inaccurately but we would be happy to assist! First, please make sure that you are using fresh batteries in both units, then perform the following reset. Please follow the steps carefully as the order is crucial to the success of the reset.
Hard Reset:
1. Bring both the sensor and display unit together and remove batteries from the outdoor sensor. Make sure that the Wireless Reception Indicator on the display drops to zero bars to ensure that your display was connected to the correct sensor. (If your wireless reception indicator already indicates zero bars, please proceed to Step #2.)
NOTE: If your display unit continues to show a strong connection, there is another sensor in your area that your display is connecting to (either a neighbor's or from another of your AcuRite units). If you have multiple sensors, make sure to use a different ABC channel on each.
2. Remove the batteries and/or power adapter from the display unit.
3. Change the A-B-C setting on both units to a new, matching channel then press and hold the reset button in the battery compartment of the display for 20 seconds, if applicable.
4. Reinstall the batteries in the outdoor sensor.
5. Reinstall batteries and/or power cord into the display unit then immediately press and hold the reset button again for 20 seconds, if applicable.
6. Let the units sit within a couple of feet of each other for approximately 5 minutes or until you see a solid sensor signal.

Might buy this product again if the clock issue is resolved.
Product was easy to set up, however the clock does not keep good time. Clock loses several minutes a day.

I feel confident buying AcuRite products
It worked perfectly immediately after connecting. Same as other AcuRite products I own already over 8 years. in the past I only had to ask for a warranty replacement, which was very well handled by AcuRite.

Excellent weather station
My Favorite Weather station. It gives me all the details I need and works flawlessly. I just bought another one as I liked my old one so much. I also like that all batteries for both the wireless sensor and the unit (in case power goes out) are AA batteries.

Great but display is a little dim
The 2027A1 has a nice display except it's a bit dim and you have to look at it from a certain angle. You can make the display two steps dimmer but I found that feature not useful for anything. I really dislike the clocks on these thermometers. Nobody looks at a thermometer for the time, they just show a time that's typically a little off. Thankfully, the time on this unit is pretty small. I love the high-low temperature range information. This thing is not perfect but I'm glad to have it. It's a good looking unit.

Product works fine
This unit replaced a previous unit that I had for over six years, but heavy rain got into the external sensor and it stopped working. I replaced it with a new unit.
