      Answer This Question

A:  Hi Ashley, After you turn on the refrigerator, let the ice maker make ice for 1 to 2 days. Over that period, throw out the first 1 or 2 buckets of ice the ice maker makes to ensure all impurities have been removed from the water line. Have a great day! Chrystel

Q:Can you take out the ice tray, if you need more freezer space for wider thing

                Answer This Question

A:  Hi Marie, This Samsung refrigerator's ice maker bucket is built-in and cannot be removed. It should not be used to store food because frozen food can damage the ice maker, especially when opening and closing the door. You may remove the bins on the ice maker for cleaning purposes. -Kimberly
