A:  The first 30 days the product is more likely to absorb various stains and minerals in the water. It is highly suggested that a sequestering agent / stain & scale remover is added to the water (based on the manufacturer's typical treatment recommendations) when refilling the pool. This is true for pretty much all types of pool plaster repair.
