                  A:  No it is not

                  by|Oct 9, 2021

A:  No. The glass is single pane, and the frame is aluminum. If you are concerned about this, the frame is aluminum. That said, I live in San Diego and it regularly hits 100+ at my house and this is the least of my summer worries. Not having to get up to constantly let my dog out is well worth a few extra Pennies in AC and heat.

A:  Hi - my dog has very short legs and he is only 11 pounds. I am thinking of adding a little step on both sides of the door so he can get through the door. Hope that works ok!

                        by|Oct 14, 2021

A:  The panel is sandwiched between a sliding patio door and the door frame so there is not need to cut the door. The panel needs a frame on the bottom of the swinging door so you cannot cut that out. You might be able to remove some of the bottom support but some needs to remain.

A:  Thank you for your question, Pippin. The bottom of the door cannot be cut. This will compromise the structural integrity of the door. We're sorry for any inconvenience.

A:  Thank you for your great question. The flap opening on this pet door is about 10¼" x 16⅜". To see if this will work for your dog, please measure his shoulder height and width as even dogs of the same breed can have varying body sizes and shapes.

A:  No. If installed properly the door will alien up with the pet door and u have a rubber insulation that goes on door, between the door and pet door. Plus u have a lock which comes with pet door to lock the door so no one can get in ur house. Just follow the direction and u will be fine. If u have questions call home depot they will be glad to help u. Mark

A:  There is a foam strip included to prevent a gap. I’ve had the doggy door for many years and have never had any critters come inside.

I want her to have the freedom like every other dog. I tried asking this question earlier but got shot down. Guess I'm being discriminated against because of my question. What is the difference of the rise in the large and large-tall?

A:  I don’t have a dog with 1 leg but that’s ok. The dog uses his nose to push forward to open flap to go in or out of ur home. It won’t hurt ur dog It may take u many tries to get the dog to go in and out. Just because the is handicap does t mean he can’t learn how to go through the flap door.
