A:  You can, but the whole point of having a pet door is to allow your pet free access to enter and exit without you being around to be doorman/woman.

A:  Thank you for reaching out with this question. While the system can be taken in and out of the door, it is not designed to be taken in and out consistently and can put more strain on the spring-loaded mechanism and shorten the lifespan of the door.

A:  Thank you for reaching out to us, Denise! With the way that this patio panel is installed, you would likely have to remount your original door-locking hardware if you'd like to continue using it. However, you may find it helpful to know that the installation kit for this door comes with an additional lock to be used in conjunction with this patio panel.

A:  Great question, Jenn! Our patio panel is 3/4" thick. So it is important for the track, in which it sits, to be at least this wide. If the patio panel will fit in the same track that your screen door is on, it should work.

A:  We are able to put ours in with screen door against it.

A:  Thank you for asking this question! It's important to mention that installing screws into vinyl door frames or door jambs may crack the vinyl. For this reason, we usually don't recommend this type of installation.

A:  Probably. Is the glass of the door contained within a vinyl frame? Shouldn't be a problem. If the door opening is vinyl you might need to be careful with screws. We have doorway frames of aluminum with IDEAL PET PRODUCTS dog doors in three sliders and an insert for a cat door in another. IDK if this is the same company as PetSafe, but the replacement flappers from Home Depot fits fine.

A:  We're sorry to hear that you've been having difficulties finding a door that will work for you. Regrettably, we do not currently make a sliding glass panel that will fit the measurements you've provided. We're so sorry for any inconvenience this may be!
