        Answer This Question

A:  Hi! The best way to cut our Crag Aztec Multi Sunset would be to use a wet saw with a diamond tipped blade. We always recommend the use of a wet saw with a diamond tipped blade as it offers the best cut with the least chance of breakage. If you have any further questions, please give us a call at (800)-963-7652.

A:  Hi, Patrick! Yes, our Crag Hexagon Sunset is suitable for shower floor installations as it is slip resistant and ADA compliant. As this is a mosaic, the grout lines can help contribute to the overall slip resistance as well. Since this mosaic is made of natural stone, we would recommend sealing the tile before and after installation, especially since you are planning on using it on the shower floor. If you have any further questions, please give us a call at (800)-963-7652. Hope this helps!

Q:how many bricks should i order for a section 224 sq ft.

              Answer This Question

A:  Hi, Babz! For a space that covers 224 square feet, you will need to purchase a minimum of 224 sheets as each sheet covers 1 square foot. This does not account for the grout joints between each tile. To account for the recommended 10% overage for cutting, future repairs, dye lot and caliber consistency, we would recommend purchasing 247 sheets. If you have any further questions, please give us a call at (800)-963-7652. Hope this helps!

              by|May 16, 2019

A:  You will need at least 224 pieces for a 224 sq ft. section.

A:  Hi, Ricki! Yes, our Crag Quad Quartzite has a slight sparkle to it as it features natural quartzite. It is also suitable for bathroom floor installations because of its high slip resistance rating. If you have any further questions, please give us a call at (800)-963-7652.

A:  I use it for my shower floor and love it. Definitely has a good grip on it. It has a slight sparkle to it but not anything significant. If you like sparkly, you may want to choose something else.

                                    Answer This Question

A:  Hi PirateGirl, We wouldn’t recommend installing our Crag Square Multi Grey under a free-standing tub. As this is made out of natural stone, we wouldn’t want to risk future issues with your installation. A great substitution for this mosaic would be our Attica Gris https://thd.co/2Tl6ERu. This stone-look tile has a break strength of 250 lbs. which is similar to other ceramic floor tiles. This break strength does not mean that your free-standing tub of 250 lbs. would crack the tile. A tile’s break strength is found by a factory test that puts weight in one small point on the tile until the tile breaks. We have had customers in the past install this tile with claw foot tubs successfully. Installing this product on a proper subfloor will help further prevent breaking. Our Attica Gris also has a C.O.F. (Coefficient of Friction) rating of 0.8 which makes this compliant with ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) guidelines for slip resistance. All C.O.F. means is how slip resistant a tile floor is; the higher the value, the more slip resistant the tile is. It also has a DCOF (Dynamic Coefficient of Friction) rating of 0.56. To be considered slip resistant for DCOF, a tile must meet or exceed the required rating of 0.42. If you have any further questions, please give us a call at (800)-963-7652. Hope this helps!
