A:  Yes, if the handle's stem fits into the Yoke's opening, it will brace the door just fine. If you have trouble with this advice, talk to one of the department technician, they can provide more information.

A:  I believe so. The scoop is really just to have a way to go underneath a door knob of any kind I suppose. It doesn’t fit snug. That’s the best I can tell you.

A:  This is not designed to do anything for a door that opens outward. It is specifically designed to resist attempts to force a door open in the direction that it swings (ie, inward) by means such as kicking or ramming. If the door opens out but the bar is on the inside, it will provide little, if any, advantage.

A:  I’m not sure it will work for non slider doors. It has to be tightly secured between the door jam and the slider door to work.

A:  Check to see if the hole is drilled out evenly if not put a small round file in there and file it a little bit before you try to readjust the bar in pop the pin through. The pen is working properly if it works in all the other holes so it must be the whole itself

Much more so than just a door lock alone.I had it on tile but I suppose it would also work on carpet. This is a very sturdy device. easy to adjust. I also use when I'm traveling by car in motel rooms, which always have weak door closures.
