A:  The bar is designed to work on many different surfaces, including tiles, woods, linoleum's, and carpets. What usually provides best performance is to position the bar with one end under the doorknob, then tightly adjusting the foot at approximately 18in from the base of the door. A:  This is a Master Lock adjustable door security bar 27 1/2 - 42 inches. The model number is 265DCCSEN with a SKU # 250113.

A:  The Master Lock Security Door Bar is made to resists forced entry through doors and sliding patio doors. The pivoting ball joint assures full contact with floor, and padded foot provides sure grip without scratching. This will not work on a door that opens outwards.

A:  I don't honestly know, but I don't think so?  Opening the door it has tension on, in the same direction, seems to me logically it would be releasing the tension. 

A:  Nope

A:  No it will not.

A:  I have not tried to use it on a door that opens out, but I do not think it will work as you pull the door outward the u shape bracket will pull along. On a door that pushes in you have the bottom block staying in place and the door knob in the u shape bracket.

A:  It work better on my entry rug than the hard wood floor. I’ll rate my satisfaction a 6 out of 10.

A:  it has lots of notches for different heights that way you can change the angle so no matter what flooring you have it will work

A:  It works less well on carpet. It is not recommended to be used with a carpeted floor.

A:  It works fine on carpet and smooth floors.

A:  Sometimes it does loosen the knob. I was able to tighten the mounting screws on the knob and solved the problem.

A:  I am wondering the same thing. I own two of these security sticks. When I place the stick under the door knob I have been giving little kicks to get the stick in place  and to make it tight. Perhaps I should not be kicking it so hard but it needs to be snug in order to work. So far the door knobs have not loosened but it is question that has also been going through my mind so I try not to be too hard on it anymore to prevent such a problem.

A:  The Security Bars are manufactured in Milwaukee, WI. We then ship the locks to our facility in Mexico for packaging. Due to customs rules, the ‘packaged’ good ships out of Mexico, so we need to add this to the packaging.
