Q:How do I know if my Water Level Is high enough? As an example, I put a load of dress shirts in the normal wash, but the shirts don’t get fully wet.

Answer This Question

A:  As per the manual, clothing, or articles being washed, should be loaded loosely and should not be loaded past the maximum load line in the tub. If clothing is pressed or pushed down to fit more, the unit will be unable to circulate and agitate the clothing for proper cleaning. Also, the machine does have a water plus button to add additional water when desired and the option to select Prewash+ Normal cycle to assist with those types of loads. ^AC

Q:Hi. I just purchase this wash machine. How much HE liquid laundry detergent is recommended for this machine. The sales people said only a tablespoon. Is this correct ? Seems like very little ?? Please advise -

    Answer This Question

A:  LG's HE Top Loader Washing Machines are designed to use HE detergent only, and as little water as possible for energy efficiency. The water level may appear to be too low, but this is normal. This is a common misconception due to familiarity with non-HE top loader models that can use over 40 gallons of water per cycle, however, new HE Top Loaders use up to 28 gallons of water per cycle. Remember, this is a HE unit and requires minimal detergent. Usually about 2 tablespoons is enough to wash a regular/large sized load. A:  I don't think it's really a warranty. It covers if the machines motor blows and to me, I will just have Home Depot care for this. I bought the HD warranty for 3 years. It is far better than manufacturers. I can only hope I don't have a lemon!

A:  Yes, I used the delicate cycle to wash a merino wool sweater, I chose the low spin. It came out great! Boxed it to size and air dried to perfection. No shrinkage and being red, it also maintained color.

                        Answer This Question

A:  You are dealing with the larger 3 or 4 prong plugs (14-30) for the washer and dryer, so don’t think you can use a surge protector.

                        by|Nov 24, 2018

A:  BIGDADDYDC, the large plug you have pictured is for the 220v, 30amp dryer, so any surge protection for that kind of power is high priced. The 7600 LG washer is a standard size wall plug and most any surge protector for 120 volt plug will fit. Is one needed? I'd like to hear from an "LG Specialist" to see if they build-in a surge protector for their washer's electronics.

A:  Not a bad idea if you can find a little surge supressor, but notthing too extravagent in my opinion.

                        Answer This Question

A:  We have not had any rust around the bleach dispenser or any yellow spotting on clothes. However, we've only had our new washer for three months now, therefore people who've owned this model for about a year or more would be the better judges since bleach would take time to eat its way through the paint/finish around the bleach dispenser.

A:  Depends on the comforter. A summer like/ thin comforter will work, but I have tried and would not recommend a thick/winter like.

A:  Absolutely! You can wash a King Size comforter - one, per load. It's so EASY!!! I like to use the NORMAL setting. There's a setting for sheets and blankets but I like NORMAL because I can also select: EXTRA Water, get an Extra Rinse AND add Fabric Softener! Make sure to choose MEDIUM for the SPIN cycle. The basket is extra deep and perfect for extra large items. I make sure to shake out the comforter first, getting rid of any extra debris. Then, I lightly drop the comforter into the machine spreading it out inside the basket. If I pack it in, it won't wash as well. I usually wash larger items when I'm home in case there's a trouble signal and I need to re-distribute the weight of the item. It's really easy and you'll love it!! :)
