Q:How do you measure the length of the faucet? Mine, which needs replacing, is 6" from one end to the other, is a single piece with what I assume to be 3 holes. I noticed that the standard size is 4". Does that measure the distance of all the holes or the assembled piece?

Answer This Question

A:  4" centerset refers to the distance between the hot and cold water inlets coming into the bottom of the faucet from center to center. The two outside holes in the countertop (typically there are three) will also measure 4" center to center.

A:  Hi, this is Laura with Kohler Co. I am happy to assist you with your question. A widespread faucet will measure 8" on center or 8" from the center of the hot handle on the left, to the center of the cold handle on the right. A centerset faucet will measure 4" from the center of the hot handle on the left, to the center of the cold handle on the right; it will also have an escutcheon that both handles and the spout are attached to. A single control faucet will have just one hole but may include an escutcheon or have an escutchoen available for purchase that will cover additonal holes in the sink that were drilled for a centerset faucet. Thank you for choosing KOHLER.

Q:We just installed this faucet and notice the water flow is considerably less than our previous faucet. Is this because of the Watersense feature? Is there any way to bypass this to allow more flow? Thanks

A:  I took the water saver device off. That resulted in a uneven flow that splashed all over.

A:  No, the valve is referring to the shut off valve underneath the sink. If your plumbing is 15 to 20 yrs old it might be a very good idea to replace those valves. The good ones are about $8.0 / pc. The best way to tell is to look underneath the sink , do you have the old copper lines or are they the newer flex lines?
