      Answer This Question

A:  Hello Mary, Yes in some areas the building departments will not allow patio covers and carports to be directly attached to manufactured homes. You might want to ask your local building department if you can build/attach a patio cover to your manufactured home... They may require it be built using what is called "Fourth Wall" construction...which means it is basically freestanding. At this time we do not offer any kits that are designed/engineered to be built as Fourth Wall construction and we do not sell parts and pieces, just complete kits. Thank you W

Q:Hello I live Palatine Ill. I am interested in buying two sizes of 20x12 but I want it in a capacity of (30 lbs) and the page does not show it, nor does the price

              Answer This Question

A:  Hello Beto You do not see the 20x12 x 30lbs because of an engineering design reason. That kit cannot be designed to comply with a 30 lbs ground snow load. We looked up Palatine, and from what we see.... it looks tro be in a 25 lbs ground snow load area. Please confirm that with your local building department. We checked the engineering for a 25 lbs ground snow load and this kit model #, 1252006701220, will also comply with a 25 lbs ground snow load even though it is described as a 20 lb load. Thank you B

Q:How and where is the rainwater drained? Is it done by drilling holes in the fascia wherever I want the water to drain?

                Answer This Question

A:  Hello Cburd Yes you will drill holes in the "Front Fascia/Gutter" near each end and fasten the Fascia Drains to the bottom to direct the water outward. If you prefer, you may purchase downspout kits from the Home Depot and fasten them to the first and last post. FYI the installation instructions are on the HD website for your review, download and printing. When you have the patio cover kit on screen, scroll down and click on PRODUCT DETAILS.... On the right you will see a box ADDITIONAL RESOURCES... scroll down and click on INSTALLATION GUIDE. Thank you W
