Answer This Question

A:  Hi Kelly! Badger 5 garbage disposal gas has galvanized steel grinding components. These components are coated with corrosion-resistant zinc and do not begin to discolor until this coating wears away. Answer This Question

A:  Hi Steve, thank you for reaching out to us. This model has a dishwasher drain connection. To connect the dishwasher, you can get a dishwasher connector kit, which is an easy and fast way to connect. You can find the instructions on how to connect the dishwasher to your disposal in step 15 of the installation manual. Here is the link for the manual: https://insinkerator.emerson.com/documents/badger-5-installation-care-use-manual-english-en-us-7832790.pdf

              Answer This Question

A:  Hi Gerr, thank you for your question. We do not recommend that a factory-installed cord be removed and used on another disposer. The cord is attached using plastic clips that are not meant to be removed. However, we have a power cord kit available that comes with all the necessary components to install a power cord on an uncorded disposer. The model number for this kit is CRD-00.

A:  Hi Paul, we appreciate your inquiry. Yes, this model will work as a replacement for your disposal. If you have a hard-wired connection under your sink, you need a disposal without a power cord.
