Q:Will either end of this extension cord fit through a hole that is 1-1/4" in diameter?

Answer This Question

A:  Yes I believe so

by|May 5, 2023

A:  Hello Gilberto, The female end of the cord may just fit through an 1 1/4" inch hole. Looking at the prong on that same side though I'd suggest an 1 1/2" hole for the easiest fit. I hope this helps. Cheers, Chris

Q:Is this rated for outdoor use? Description says "provides power indoors and outdoors", but "details" section says it's rated for indoor. Also, the packaging photo doesn't indicate any outdoor rating. Please confirm. Struggling to find a short, 14 gauge right-angle extension cord that will fit in an outdoor weatherproof receptacle.

A:  I cannot speak for the manufacture, however I would not be afraid to use outdoors. As with any electrical device outdoors; caution should always be used in wet locations.

          by|May 5, 2023

A:  Yes u are correct and I used outdoors to connect Christmas decorations and taped w electrical tape to keep it from getting wet! It's heavy duty for sure but if it's going to be expose to wetness or everyday elements hot c old hot cold rain or whatever i wouldn't use! I'd buy industrial cord and just roll and bind!

Q:We installed our 15,000 AC Unit and realized that the power cord does not reach the outlet. Can I use this extension cord with the AC? I am planning on setting the AC on the lowest fan setting and set the temp to 80 degrees so as not to use too much energy. We live in South Texas and yesterday we were literally dying because the humidity was so high and I was afraid to use the flimsy extension cord that my husband bought.

A:  YES, This particular cord has the capacity to supply current to any appliance that will operate from a normal AC Mains circuit (1800 watts of less). A typical large flat screen television requires 600 watts, or less, or about 1/3 rd the rating of this cord. An LED lamp is trivial compared to that, typically 23 watts per bulb, worst case. To run it all from the same cord, one would need a splitter, or power strip that is also rated at the combined capacity of the TV and the lamp,.

                        by|May 5, 2023

A:  Yes. The 14/3 gauge wire can take up to 1875 watts maximum according to the advertisement on the packaging. As long as the TV and lamp add up to less than 1875 W, the it is safe to use.

A:  The answer is yes, it is more than adequate for that.

A:  Absolutely! The manufacture says that this cord is rated for 1875 watts, or 15.65 amps. I have a Frigidaire 70 pint dehumidifier that uses 632 watts, or 5.26 amps.

A:  It depends on the amperage rating of the washer. This cord is good to 15 amps

A:  Yes, a 10K BTU AC unit draws a little less than 10 amps max, A 14/3 cable allows a max amp draw of 15 amps. As long as thats all you are using it for.
