A:  This extension cord could be use with a refrigerator. Being 15 feet long and 14 gauge, it would handle the load with no problem.

A:  This is a standard 115V power cord.

A:  Not usually. There is not a "standard" 220 plug/socket. Most of them will not accept this.

A:  220 is a lot of load for this cord gauge and the plugs probably won't match your needs. Ask your electrician.

A:  That would depend on the power efficiency of the air conditioner. This particular cord should operate any A/C unit rated at 1800 watts or less. This would be typical of a room A/C unit.

A:  My A/C is 15,000 BTU and says it's 125 V /15 Amp. So this cord is good for that.

A:  BTU is a unit of heat, not an electrical measurement, but you can convert BTUs/hour into watts. In air conditioning, BTUs are a measurement of the heat an a/c can remove from a room in an hour according a standardized industry test. You don't need to do the calculations. It is much easier for you to look at the a/c unit's electrical specifications and requirements printed the a/c unit, or the owner's manual. The packaging label on the extension cord says the cord is made to work with a 15amp, 125volt circuit, for an appliance (such as a a/c) or other device (I was looking for a cord for my office laser printer) drawing a maximum of 1875 watts.

A:  Not usually. Most stoves have a 220v receptacle with a different physical shape. Some stoves (gas usually) need to be plugged into 110 for the controls to work. This cord will work for the controls and/or a 110v stove.

A:  Overall, I was pleased with this extension cord. It was the perfect size that I needed, and worked as promised. This particular one is made for indoor use, as the weatherproofing is not suitable for outdoor use. For the money, you can't beat it!!!
